WMU wins 67-56. Time to look forward to what should be a pretty solid team next year as we open the Stroh Center.

At least we have two fantastic memories of the final games at Anderson Arena to remember.

We lose JoJak and Dabs. No excuse for this team to not finish 10-6 in MAC play and a run at the Championship. Anything less than that will be a disappointment. Time now to throw our support to the women's basketball team and hockey team.

And I was off by 2 total points on my prediction but dang nab it I had the two teams switched.

Scott Thomas was doggone awful today. Looked just plain lethargic at times. Wasn't surprised at all when Orr yanked him with 11 minutes to go.

He looked like he rolled his ankle during the NIU game Tuesday. I really hope that a lingering injury was the cause for his play today and not just a clear lack of effort.

Wow, you're going to call out Scott Thomas for being lethargic when the whole team was lethargic?

BGSU will never have a winning season as long as Orr is the coach. NEVER! It's not the players it's the coach!! Orr is just not a good coach and I think he should be terminated. Some of you will say, "but he won the MAC two years ago". Yes, that's true but we've gone downhill since. There are some players with real talent on this team and he just can't bring out the best in them.
1. We had no team leader this year and that is something Orr should have taken care of from the start of the year.
2. The team is lack luster and shows no emotion. They looked beat early on in the second half of today's game. I blame this on the coach. The most excited I have ever seen this team was when Wiley Roberts made his 3 point shot in the NIU game.
3. Orr had done nothing to improve upon the talent that these basketball players possess (some of them, anyway). He plays guys that should never see any court time unless we are winning by 20 or more (Erger).
4. In my opinion, Crawford is a very selfish player and has been all season long. I don't see that changing at all next year. I know a lot of you won't agree with that statement, and that's fine, it's just how I see it.
5. The player substitutions have made no sense all year long.

I really hope for the sake of the upcoming seniors (I'd like to see them have a good year) that BGSU doesn't continue to employ a less than mediocre coach.

Coaches don't "take care" of leadership, the players do...or they don't

Scott Thomas was lethargic??? Did you watch or listen to the NIU game? If you did you would know that Scott Thomas rolled his ankle and has a sprained ankle. If it wasn't a MAC tournament game he wouldn't even been playing. Would you rather we play Erger all 40 minutes considering that is who Orr subs Thomas with. Before you put down someone at least try and think why he may not have his A game. Enough said. So sick of all the criticism. Not even 2 hours after the season ended and people are calling out coaches and players. Yes I made a post about next season (2011-2012 team) and I gave my opinion but I never called out a player or said the coach should be fired. Let's just enjoy the other teams in post season play and support the university and student athletes!!

Gotta agree on this one. It was amazing to look at the box scores and see the minutes played. One game a guy is getting 20+ mins and contributing, the next its 5. Or the other way. JoJak started most games, then hardly played more then 10 minutes ever. Kraus started several games, played 30+ mins in a few, played less than 5 in others. I thought that was fine in the non-conf schedule as you work out rotations and what guys play well together. But it continued all year, including today.

Speaking negatively about the coaching staff not developing ALL THIS GREAT TALENT is fine, but first ask yourself a few questions. At what positions is this team truly talented? Do talented players shoot 43% from the field, 29% from 3, and 65% FT's? Quite simply, those are losing numbers in any conference in any year.

Seems like we have a major problem with shooting in general. The solution to this issue might be as simple as the guys getting in the gym every day during the offseason and shooting 100 3's, 100 FT's, and 100 2-pt FG's. (Bonus points for more). Shooting isn't complicated, and can be practiced anytime, and while it's good to have defenders to have to deal with while doing it, it's also good to just practice on your own, especially since a lot of our players' issues are more with mechanics of the shot and repetition than anything else.

Why do you not play Sealy all year and them run him out there at the MAC Tournament? Doesn't make sense to me.

Yes. I did watch it. That's why I acknowledged it in my earlier post. I was hoping that the injury was indeed the cause. Regardless, he clearly wasn't able to play at a high enough level to benefit the team today.

I like Scott as a player. A lot. Aknowledged that in other threads throughout the season. That's why I was disappointed when I saw the performance today.

Agree 100%. If he was any kind of coach he would already have HAD a winning season at BG and if he was ANY good he would have won a MAC Championship by now. Oh, wait.... And everybody is back next year? Nah, he'll never have a winning season....
