I agree with the earlier post about CMU's freshman getting chippy with Steffen. That is my play of the game. Before that, the refs were letting CMU man handle us, and after it they called every touch foul they could, which really goes in our favor. I felt like that was a turning point in the game."

If UT plays like it did yesterday or for the past two weeks it will lose by 10 points to EMU.

The postgame show with Bruce Drennan is incredibly hard to watch, FYI.

Our bench is what won us this game!!!!

Slagle, Havel, Albert and Stein all played great!!!

just think how good we could play tomorrow if Maggie and Jen step up and if LP can make some outside shots!!

Just got back from the Q....Man, our bench played so well and won this game just like gmartin said. Can't wait to get back to the Q tomorrow as we have tix in the Infocision loge...gotta love working for a company that has a loge at the arena.

On a side note...the ever classless "Pew Crew" from ut showed up with 10 min left in the BG/CMU game with signs saying "BGSUcks". It wasn't their team playing and yet they did this. Kudos to the BG band for drowning them out and laughing at 'em. Stay classy, ut....btw, EMU leads the rockettes 27-19 at the half.

GO FALCONS!!! BRING HOME ANOTHER TITLE!!!

The lady's put on a very "senior-like" performance today. You could tell we had been through this before, where CMU played a little tight. They played nowhere near the level they played on Wednesday.

The CMU coach said in the press conference after their win on Wednesday that her team "wanted BG and had something to prove after the regular season match-up." Well Sue, you got what you wanted and you and your team didn't like it very much...again.

I have to agree wiht Curt when he said in his postgame comments that CMU is a program that will be a force over the next few years in the MAC. Lot of talented younger players, very good recruiting class coming in and a transfer. Expect CMU to be the force in the MAC West for awhile.

Havel and Alberts were my players of the game today. If we get that kind of production from the bench tomorrow we should be in good shape. Plus, Lauren has really not played her typical game in this tournament yet. I think she breaks out tomorrow and puts this team on her back once again.

Watching Toledo/EMU game now and think the Eagles might be the tougher match-up for us. Very athletic team that likes to push the ball. Toledo has not played well in either of their games here so far. That number one seed can be a heavy load to carry sometimes.

Ona bad note, Houston (#18) got beat in the Conf USA semis and that wil cost someone an at large bid. Hope it's not us.

Looks like someone was looking ahead instead of paying attention to the game at hand.

Anything with Bruce is hard to watch

Also, Mike Carins (the dude calling the women's games for STO) quit being redundant by calling it the MAC Conference, its the Mid-American Conference, not the Mid-American Conference Conference

She had a nice flop there too on the next possession that CMU's coach got them to review to see if Lo committed a flagerant or intentional foul (which it wasn't, the CMU girl clearly flopped) She may be the conference freshmen of the year, but those two incidents proved why she is a freshmen

Sue "Che" Guevara is a fiesty one for sure.

I've noticed that Curt has a Lou Holtz-esque tendency to go over the top in his public praise for opposing coaches and programs (Cullop and Jodi Kest at Akron are the big ones that come to mind). I'm sure some of it is genuine and accurate, but it also seems like it's his way of patting them on the head and making them feel better after he beats them and takes his team to the tournament every year.

Curt was interviewed by Bruce and his side kick on STO before the Akron/WMU men's game and said BG is the underdog going into the game. Bruce busted up laughing and even Curt started to chuckle a bit. EMU is very athletic so we'll need to bring our A+ game if we want to cut down the nets.....AGAIN. And watching ut get knocked out by EMU was priceless.
