AP:

"Georgia Tech is making its fifth straight appearance under coach MaChelle Joseph, who said she believed her team deserved a better draw.

"I think we feel very disappointed with the seed and the location," Joseph said. "I don't understand with the (22) RPI and No. 16 strength of schedule why we have to go to Columbus, Ohio, to play."

If I were Ohio State fans coming to the first game on Saturday, I'd be really upset with Coach Joseph for those disparaging comments about the beautiful city of Columbus. :P

Its nice that both UM and EMU can have a home game. It cracks me up that EMU is still around. They sell more UM gear in their bookstore than EMU gear.
What I don't understand is why they built the school in Ypsilanti, right down the street from UM. They could have put it more up on the thumb of the mitten, or even somewhere in Detroit's northern metroplex, perhaps Macomb County. Instead, where EMU is, it'll never amount to much of anything as far as athletics are concerned because of it's proximity to UM. They suck at basketball and football virtually every year. Supposedly they are decent in some of the non-revenue sports though.

I think it would be a great benefit to the MAC if they were to kick EMU and their perpetual 1-win football team and 300+ rpi basketball team out of the conference for good. They drag the rest of us down.
Check out EMU's success for MAC titles in swimming and track & field. Nobody touches them, for the most part.

So BG wins the psychological round as we want to be in Columbus and the opponent doesn't as well as the opponent feels they got the shaft.

Sort of reminds me of that Jerry Reed song "She Got the Goldmine and I Got the Shaft"

Most likely.

University says more info about tickets and Falcon Club buses will be up on BGSUFalcons.com later Tuesday.

And my venue question is answered, too... both days will be at St. John Arena. I big plus for BG, provided everyone who wants tickets can get tickets.

Tickets for Bowling Green's NCAA women's tournament game in Columbus on Saturday are available for Falcon fans through the Ohio State Athletic Ticket Office. They are currently selling all session tickets for $28 for adults and $18 for children. Single session tickets will go on sale Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Those are $17 for adults and $12 for youth. Phone numbers for OSU are (614) 292-2624 and 800-GO BUCKS.
There is no word yet on if there is a specific section for BGSU fans.
There will not be tickets available through the BGSU Athletic Ticket Office.

Freak- who in your family runs track or swims for Eastern? I'm wondering because I've been told by a poster on this board that no one cares about those sports except me and the families of the athletes. That just got me wondering about your family's athletic connections to EMU? Good to know there are other SPORTS fans on this board and not just basketball and football fans! :-D

I care. I still have not let it go that we do not have a men's track program.

Yes, there are "unofficial" BG sections in St John Arena. They are 4A, 6A & 8A which are side by side by side. The people I talked to at Ohio State said they were definitely ready and willing to take ticket applications over the phone. They told me they had been really busy already today. Ticketmaster online is not taking orders until 10:00 AM tomorrow. Everyone get your tickets so we can ORANGE OUT St John Arena to support our Falcons. :) :) :)
