NCAA Tournament
Re: NCAA Tournament
Well Kentucky had to make a basket with 2 seconds left to bring me back to reality. Still have more upset picks later today that most people said I was crazy. But I don't feel bad about Louisville because I got that one right! Been a great 5 hours of games already.

Just imagine...when...if - I really can't imagine how great it would be for the Ay-Ziggy Nation.
Re: NCAA Tournament
Well I am 7-1 through the first 8 games. Thanks Kentucky for ruining my perfect afternoon. Hopefully tonight provides me with all my other upsets (Woffard, Belmont, Utah State, Mizzou, Bucknell and Gonzaga). The only two favorites I took were Florida and UCLA.
What a great start. 5 of the 8 afternoon games were decided by less than 3 pts

It was a great tourney start but I am afraid your balloon will burst with that many upsets. I learned my lesson on that many picks but why oh why did you pick Bucknell?

Re: NCAA Tournament
Only one I've missed so far is the Louisville-Morehead game. I have MSU upsetting UCLA but MSU looks really bad in the first few minutes.

Finished 11-5 after day 1. I picked Bucknell over UConn because they has been playing great Defense even though its the Patriot League and UConn played 5 games in 5 days. Was thinking they would overlook Bucknell and be tired. I will still take my 11-5. Was getting worried UCLA was going to blow its 23 point lead.

BTW, of the 6.6 million brackets submitted on ESPN only 316 ate still perfect.

Re: NCAA Tournament
I ended the day yesterday 14-2....missed the Morehead State/Lville match up and then had Utah State upsetting Kansas State....didn't happen. Loved seeing the Richmond Spiders knock off Vandy.
Hope I do as well today cuz I want to win some jack at work! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Last Sunday when the pairings came out many of the "experts" complained that VCU got in the tournament over more deserving teams. One week later, after spanking USC of the PAC-10, drubbing Georgetown of the Big East, and dismantling Purdue of the Big 10, they advance to the Sweet 16. Gotta love it.

Re: NCAA Tournament
And I seriously can see VCU beating FSU. I also can see SDSU, Butler and BYU moving to the elite 8. 4 of the 8 can be mid majors. I must say, if OSU continues to shoot like this they will be hard to beat.
Re: NCAA Tournament
Saw a great tweet over the weekend:
So true... I love me a tournament! If this were the BCS, Pitt would have played in the Orange Bowl, and Butler the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Jay Bilas looks about as dumb as someone can possibly look. He first said there was no way they should be in....then when someone said, in response/or shortly after, to VCU and UAB being in and how foolish this was, that he should be the commish of College basketball (Dickie V said it but others added it later) he said that maybe there were too many automatic bids and the tourney should be down to 32 games instead of growing. Roll along mid majors and lower seeds.

Re: NCAA Tournament
What a great first weeeknd! I am very glad that my Tar Heels out-lasted Washington to get to the Sweet 16. OSU has done to the three point line what Dallas Braden did to the pitcher's mound. Duke got lucky, VCU and Richmond are still wearing slippers and we have a matchup in which seeds add up to 21. Awesome tournament this year.
