Re: TOLEDO WINS NIT GAME
Not withstanding Goodall's comments, congrats to ut on another win tonight. One thing to keep in mind the competition in the NCAA tourney is better, overall, than the NIT. BG losing to #23 Ga Tech...no shame in that. Alabama was 5-11 in the SEC this year.

Alleged comments taken in the listener's context. You gotta love the girl-a) she's a wonderful person, really b) she has orange hair! Would someone who hates BG have orange hair?

H20, I saw Melissa make her comment about UT still playing in a tournament when another team just finished playing its last game. She had a smirk on her face as she said it and it was a slap in the face to BG. Regardless I have always thought MG was a great talented player but she did take a few steps back in the MAC tournament, IMO.
Great to see the crowd support of 3700 people. Glad to see UT win. And make it to the Quarterfinals. If EMU wins then UT will have a rematch with the 'Hurons' in the quarters with the winners going to the WNit Semi's.
If EMU does win the question is Who will I root for and foot against? Hmmmm.
Glad to see the MAC doing well in post season but I agree with Freak, the goal is getting to the NCAA and no shame losing to a tough opponent in the first round. I think UT would prefer an early exit in the NCAA over their NIT run.
Regardless congrats goes to UT

As we've said- no one I know would argue that the NCAA is the better deal, even though its nearly an automatic first round loss. Two posters in this thread from BG seem to be the only ones upset that Toledo is doing well in a lesser tournament-sour grapes? The rest of you have been very gracious. We're just enjoying the fact that the ladies are still playing and still playing at home every game thanks to great crowd support.
Winning the MAC and advancing this far in the WNIT in just three years under Coach Cullop is pretty remarkable considering the depths to which the program had fallen.

I debated and decided to go with the default Grant-head-exploder- just wondering how long it would take for someone to notice. I knew it wouldn't be Grant because, well, his head exploded.....
By the way - don't know if you saw my post on the LAunch PAd but when I went in to get my tickets to the wnit game yesterday there was a guy walking around in the lobby in a St. Ursula's coat. I almost asked him if he was there to scout Toledo.

Irregardless, your next opponent will actually have had a winning record in their conference

Cool! That'll be our ninth opponent for which that's the case. BG did well there too, playing eight teams with winning conference records.

Context...waterboy...context. You usually don't play teams with losing conference records in the second and third rounds of post season tournaments!

True, Tomboy. MAC teams rarely make it to the second, third and fourth rounds of post season tournaments. Of course, if you are truly interested in context you would have mentioned the fact that those teams were from the SEC and that one of them beat a conference champion to advance. Our success is really bugging you, huh? We're just having fun with it.

Nope...quite the contrary. I hope you win it all. Of course even if you did you probably wouldn't even get a single top 25 vote to start the season next year

Also, the presence of Curt Miller at the Rockets WNIT game up at U of M last year was a nice gesture of support, and I'm sure greatly appreciated ...
35-0..1969-1971..Second longest winning streak in NCAA history..

Strange that you would think that. He's done a good job for Bowling Green. Frankly, I'm a little disappointed that you would think of him that way. He certainly deserves better from BG fans. What does he have to do to get you fans on board? The man has won EVERYTHING. Can't imagine anyone who claims to be a Falcon fan thinking he was the devil incarnate. Shocking, really.
