I hate the Pens but no doubt he deserves it, winning without Malkin and Crosby is quite an achievement, plus him getting exposure on 24/7 showed the kind of cool guy he is.

Agree. I'm not a pro hockey fan in general, but I am most definitely a DAN FAN, and his best friend Todd Reirden too!! Fantastic! Way to go Dan. I'm so proud of him for all his successes. He has worked hard for them and they are so well deserved. What a class act this guy is.

Congrats to Dan and all that but you do all realize that this is just the Hockey News' pick for the award and not the actual award the league gives out in the off-season, right?

ANY award that Dan gets is worth mentioning on AZZ!! Only those who have followed Dan's career since he played at BG can truly appreciate all that he has gone through to get where he is today! And we couldn't be prouder of him!!!!
