KUDOS to those who attended a great game. The WBGU announcers were very impressed with the crowd.

I also thank those that came out in support. The crowd got loud a few times down the stretch and created an atmosphere I'm sure the girls loved to play in. Now let's keep it that way the whole year!

1,000 people? That's AWESOME! I wanted to go so bad tonight, but the bad knee is hurting. It just couldn't take another half hour walk today. :( Instead, I sat in my apartment reading for class tomorrow with an ice bag on my knee.

Can't wait till the next game though! :)

"It was hot in there. It was hot in there, it was loud in there ... I thought they had a really nice crowd. They're always right on top of you. Every time you come in here, it could be ten below (outside), and to me, it just feels like the intensity is so high in here. The fans are right on you, and they were loud, yelling 'defense' down the stretch. I think they got us out of rhythm, because (the players) couldn't hear what I was staying ... I thought their crowd certainly made a difference." --- EMU coach Suzy Merchant (hottest coach in the MAC).

I will posture that if we can do this game in and game out, BG will not lose another home game this year. My crew and I were starting the defense chants most of the night like we always do, but for once, the WHOLE crowd actually picked it up. We can make a difference for these ladies at only 5 bucks a seat. Now let's do it guys.

Go athletic band for starting the cheers! It took a 6 point run and BG being within 2 for the crowd to go crazy but it was awesome. I looked to the kid next to me and said, "This is why they call it the house that roars. There can only be a few hundred, but when they get loud, this place gets crazy." And it in fact was crazy!!! That was honestly the most exciting women's game I've seen in a long time even with the loss.
