Alabama Tornadoes
Keep us in your prayers please. It is awful here and the news gets worse by the hour. I have friends who are still missing.
Re: Alabama Tornadoes
My dad lives in Alabama and he received damage on his house and garage. Most important he is ok.
Definitely in our thoughts and prayers.

Kdog...hope everyone has been accounted for. Will definitley keep our neighbors to the south in our prayers...looks like it might be GA and FL turn today...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Alabama Tornadoes
You all in Alabama are in my prayers. On our trip down to Troy, everybody across the state we ran into was incredibly nice and hospitable to us. I hope everyone is OK and found ASAP.

Re: Alabama Tornadoes
Thanks. Unfortunately I lost a friend/co-worker. A girl I use to date and now a great friend of mine's house was entirely destroyed. It has been a hell of a last few days for the communities of Pleasant Grove and Concord. I know there are others areas like Tuscaloosa and Northern Alabama but that is where it hit home for me. I work and live minutes from these cities and go to PG all the time.
Myself and many others from where I work have spent the last three days in Concord and Pleasant Grove clearing driveways and making homes that have not been entirely destroyed accessible so people can get into their homes to get their stuff before looters can. Which is another sad story in itself.
You simply cannot describe in words how destructive this was. I remember asking my ex-girlfriend one time what it looked like behind her house because there were so many trees behind it. Now you can see for a half mile past it of obliteration. There is just street after street where everything is gone. I have tons of pictures and videos but they just don't do it justice. Total nightmare.
Thank you for your prayers.

Sorry to hear about your loss Kdog. One of my co-workers just moved up here from Birmingham in Nov (He was a grad student at UAB). He and his wife still own a home just a few miles north of Birmingham. Luckily it survived, but I know he has definitely been worried this week about his family and friends.

Thanks guys. There are good stories. Thousands of volunteers and the people have come together in these towns. I am proud to call this place my home.
