Jeanmar Gomez has had some time to think about how he should be pitching. They announced that Alex White will make his Major League Debut tomorrow night so I'm going to that game as well! Gotta love Buy One, Get One coupons!!!

Side Note: Laz Diaz was umping 3rd base last night and I have to say, he is probably the nicest umpire in the league...made sure that 90% of the kids on the 3rd baseline got foul balls, was happy to joke around when he had to spring down the left field line, acting winded and was just very personable.
I'll be at the Saturday game as well.

Hopefully Porcello will somehow find the missing 5 mph on his fastball and outpitch the hotshot prospect.

I can't figure Detroit out...play poor, then play well, then play poor....who knows what the hell we'll get tomorrow. Supposed to be great weather for baseball though, so that's all that matters!

Haha, that's right! I forgot they were having fireworks.

Supposed to be an awesome day so we're gonna make a day of C-town. Gonna hit Melt on the way in (that place is awesome), then stop by the West Side Market, then on to the stadium for a sweet Tigers victory! :)

Make sure you get the Corny Beast...but ask for Ballpark or Stadium Mustard with it instead of the spicy ketchup! Also, get to the park early as they will be paying tribute to John Adams for 3,000 games of banging his drum!

Oh yeah...is the corny beast good? I've thought about it, and was probably leaning towards one of the regular menu sandwiches...a little unsure of it. Also didn't know that they had the Ballpark mustard there. That changes my thinking entirely, since that is pretty much the best hot dog mustard on the planet.

They need to add the Dude Abides to their regular menu...that thing was AWESOME.

hammb, you will be pleased to know that The Dude Abides HAS been added to the permanent menu! The love of that sandwich pushed it over the top and it got added to the permanent menu along with the Gyro Melt which is also very, very good. While Donnie may be, the Dude Abides is NOT out of its element.

I think they just carry the Stadium Mustard and not the Ballpark Mustard. The differences are subtle in that the Ballpark is a little thicker and the flavors are a tiny bit different. The Corny Beast was absolutely delicious though. The Cornbread batter is phenomenal.

WHAT A GAME LAST NIGHT!!! So glad I was there for that. After the game, my buddy and I went over to the Winking Lizard for a couple brews (Hoegaarden) and wings. Talked to some Detroit fans who were in attendence, told them Scherzer looked good and is a strong young pitcher. He's going to be really good for some years. Not sure where I'm sitting tonight yet as I'll be getting walk-up tickets. Where will you be sir?

I had the Corny Beast and I ate the entire thing. I felt way overstuffed the entire evening, but damn was that sandwich awesome! Good call! I did notice that the Dude Abides got added to the regular menu as well...definitely gonna have to have one of those again...great sandwich.

We just got walkup tickets and were in the upper deck behind home plate. Not great seats, but good for only $8.

Game was a great one, but neither team could ever get that big hit with runners on. Not surprised at all that the deciding factor ended up being an error on a pickoff attempt. And then Cleveland finishes the sweep off today. Ugh the Tigers are playing like ass right now. Congrats to the Indians on the best April in their history though! I don't think they've got the pitching to complete a season playing this well, but they're up 10 games over .500 already, so that's a lot of leeway in a division that the winner will probably not win more than 90-92 games.

At least it's not the Twins or Sox playing this well...

Another West Coast trip starts tonight to mess with my sleep cycle. Luckily it's just one night that I'll be messed up.

Fausto Carmona looks to stay on track with a good outing tonight against one of the "worst" A's pitchers, Tyson Ross and his "high" ERA of 2.76. Good God is Oakland's rotation good. This series will be a good test for our offense to see how good they are really going to be. I would love to win 2 out of 3 in each series but I would definitely not be mad about a 3-3 trip knowing that we'll be getting home cooking for 12 of the next 16 games after this trip.

Indians are facing quite a few tough pitchers in these series...Weaver, Haren, Cahill...It's going to take some work to win these games and I think the boys are up for it. I love the way that Manny Acta has this team playing. They are NEVER out of it. They had to come back to win all three games against Detroit and I think the Tigers are much better than their record indicates.

Keep it up Tribe!!! Win the West!!!

They just keep finding ways to beat good pitching! I can't believe the Tribe pulled that game out yesterday!!! Nice to get a series win in Oakland for the first time since 2002. Now, let's make sure to get 2 of 3 from the Angels! It is VERY important to win the first game of this series in my opinion. After facing Chitwood tonight, the Indians get Weaver and Haren. Not an easy pair to try and come back from 0-1 in the series. Masterson goes tonight for the Tribe, looking for win number six, Alex White goes tomorrow in his 2nd career start and Fausto finishes of the Indians AL West Coast season on Sunday. Should be some great pitching this weekend!!! Keep it up Tribe! 21-9 for the first time since..........1948. Hmmm...Keeping. Mouth. Shut.
