What's Up With "Bring Back the Glory?"

Post by rally »

Anyone have an idea on what's happening with "Bring Back the Glory?" There really isn't much at bgsufalcons.com. In fact, the BBTG page is still a promo for the Rob Blake appearance on Nov. 6! Geez folks, update or take it down. I keep expecting the launch an appeal to the masses such as we saw with the Sebo or Stroh Centers, but no big push so far. Any fundraiser that drags on too long loses it's momentum, so I hope that since the Stroh Center goal has been reached BBTG will move up the priority list.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

It's embarrasing trying to link to the site because of the lack of updates. Nothing has happened since Nov.6? No pictures, audio, video?

Hey all,

I share in your frustration. I did have some communication with the AD earlier in the year about this and he said that they would look into updating the web page and that right now they are pursuing larger donations before starting a "grass roots(he said something like this, I dont recall exactly)" effort to fundraising for Bring Back the Glory.

Anyways, something needs to be done. Unless, Blake is coming back, which would be great, they need to update that page. If this is how this campaign is going to be run then they need to find someone else to run it. We should've just built a new arena with the money so far, and as more money came in added the cosmetic features.

I hope they have a plan, because right now it looks like those managing this campaign are lost and as a fellow supporter of this program why would I want to invest in something that is going to be managed this poorly. My hope is that something will happen soon.

Almost time for Falcon Hockey season to start again, can't wait to follow what should be an exciting year!!!!

Roll-Along!!!

and

GO Falcons!!!

:-k

If what you say is true then I am disappointed that some former hockey players are letting their dislike for one person affect their loyalty to the program. Shame on them for being babies and not putting the longevity of the program first!

Lots of money has been donated by past hockey players only to see it funneled away from the program. If you think they're babies I'd love to introduce you to them face-to-face so you can tell them that.
