BG rugby team falls to UC Santa Barbara, 30-3
UC Santa Barbara beat BG 30-3 in the national semifinals. Damn.... Davenport (a team BG beat twice this year) beat Harvard in the other semifinal 62-21. UC Santa Barbara and Davenport will play for the title tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing!!!Class of 61 wrote:Wow! How strong must UCSB program be...to knock off the #1 team in the nation by a huge margin!
Still, I have to say: Congrats on a great season!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Does this mean we will not be in the tournament on NBC in June that they started promoting yesterday?
Or is this a different type...I know they have different formats of rugby...just not sure which is which.
