BG splits at UB, clinches the #8 seed in MAC Tournament

BG split the DH at UB today to hold on to the #8 spot in the standings, and will take on the #1 seed Kent State in the first game of the MAC Tournament later next week. The first game is Wednesday in Chillicothe, and exact times will be released Sunday.

BG split the DH at UB today to hold on to the #8 spot in the standings, and will take on the #1 seed Kent State in the first game of the MAC Tournament later next week. The first game is Wednesday in Chillicothe, and exact times will be released Sunday.

BG just narrowly did get in too as the Falcons lost to Buffalo in game one and Ohio beat Miami and game three forcing BG in a must-win to get in for game two of the DH and did so. Obviously a very tough draw in the first game of the tournament, but we're in, and we'll see what happens. Here's the tournament field and seeding:

Kent is really strong this year...they are loaded with veteran talent. The road to to the title probably goes thru them anyway, mind as well play them early on. Good luck in Chillecothe, Falcons!
