Agreed on th chorus of boos for Pryor. As a BG alum, but a OSU fan as well, I hope they declare Pryor ineligible. He has been a "ME" guy since he has been there. Tressel may have done a few things and ultimately has to take responsiblity as the head coach. But, Pryor may have single handedly brought a black cloud over columbus for some time. I'm afraid to say that Tressel resigning may not be the end of it.

He has done a whole lot more than a few things... God knows how many things he did that will never come out.

I'm not the best person to ask because I am rarely not working. I can't speak for Tuscaloosa and the areas of northern Alabama that were hit hard but the areas around Birmingham most people have cleaned up all the trees and wreckage. Most people are waiting for their homes to be bulldozed and then rebuild. I drove through one of the areas about ten days ago at lunch and it still amazes me the death count was as "low" as it was. You can look to the west and see for 5 miles by one mile wide. You use to not be able to see one block up. From what I hear Tuscaloosa is much further behind in the rebuilding phases. I guess I contribute that to there being far less home owners there because it is somewhat of a college town. You truly can't say how bad it is in words. It's one of those things that has to be seen for yourself to understand the destruction. It's odd for some so many of these tornadoes lately to go through so many populated areas. I know several people that aren't sleeping where they did 5 weeks ago.

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

It may have been a good column, but I stopped reading when he wrote this:

Okay, I am willing to concede that not ALL of the problems are Tressel's fault, but Pryor didn't "single handedly" do anything. Tressel has, despite common belief until recently, been shady his entire career.

All you need to do to confirm this is download podcasts of Mike and Mike from the days following the release of Tressel's email and count the number of times you hear the words, "exact same situation at Youngstown State". From YSU, to Steve Belesari, to Maurice Claret, Troy Smith, Santonio Holmes, etc, etc, etc...he has run the highest ratio of Dirty Program to Sanctimonious Fan Base of any coach in the history of sports.

Above all, the reason why this is such a big story is due to Tressel's dogmatic approach to leadership. His efforts to run a PR campaign in order to get his fan base constantly bragging about how much integrity he has was bound to catch up to him eventually.

Explain the Belasari comment. I am familiar with the other ones, but not that one.

Now Pryor says he is not returning to O$U.

Can't blame him. O$U fans have turned on him like they turned on Clarett.

Will more players follow?

So, the fans have turned on him, but not on Tressel? whatever......
