Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

Question 2a. If Pryor was released from his scholarship would you take him at BGSU?

What a great opportunity to help a young man redeem himself.?.?

I would encourage him to transfer to BGSU if he wanted to complete his degree, but I wouldn't recruit him to play football.

He was a hell of a basketball player in HS and would not need to sit out a year to transfer and we have a scholarship available. Great idea.

Can't Div I players transfer to lower division schools and not sit out a year? I think it would be a great opportunity for a small school to make a BIG splash if they could get him to transfer.

As far as BG goes, no, I wouldn't take him. He'd have to sit a year and then only have one year of eligiblity. Don't see it being worth it, but even more, I don't see Pryor waiting 2 more years to get paid legally for playing football.

He'll be in Canada if there's no NFL supplemental draft. Can't see him playing in FCS or lower...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Agreed, Flip, though I really have to believe he'll end up in the NFL. You know there are a dozen GMs waiting to take a chance on him. It's a relatively low-risk, potentially high payoff scenario for them. I also have to believe that he investigated this scenario before announcing his decision.

The NFL will come up with something that will allow him to get into the league this year.

UFL. He is a perfect guy for that league. He will draw some fans and be an experiment for them. Guys like him could start fleeing to that 5 team league in order to get there pro careers jump started.

He might end up in the UFL, but I'd bet solid money he'll get a legit shot at the NFL before he settles on anything less.

I think that he is forced into the UFL/CFL/BG basketball court for a year and then is in the draft next year. At this point he benefits from the NCAA suspending him for the year, because only then can he enter the supplemental draft.....the NCAA might just delay and delay and delay just to f him.

If I must retract Bellisari's name, and replace it with several others, I will. However, my rationale for including his name is simple. OSU fans have, time and again, promoted Tressel's supposedly superior methods for leading his players to the high road; and, until recently, consistently maintained that Maurice Clarett was the sole blemish on an otherwise spotless track record in that regards.

I apologize if my frustration level is overly apparent on this topic, but this is the very reason I divorced myself from Ohio State's fan base. Ultimately, I have learned that the fans simply hold themselves higher than most (not just about the standard of their athletic teams, but about everything relating to the university), but Tressel did everything he could to tell them exactly what they wanted to hear. He is the reason why OSU fans reached a new level of arrogance, and I have enjoyed little more over the last few months than the demise of Jim Tressel.
