What's happening at the Stroh?

Post by factman »

Went by about 2pm today (Thursday) and there was a tent up out front with a group of people. Anyone know what was going on? Did we get the keys today or something?

Hopefully our webmaster will be posting some pics this evening.

I was unable to attend.

Was that the dedication of the Plaza?
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Was the event even advertised or didn't they want any of us "common" folk attending?

Anyone who bought a brick in the Falcon Spirit Plaza was invited, I believe. Beyond that, I don't know if or how it was publicized.

I got an email from the Alumni Association. Told me to RSVP to the main Athletic Department number. I think it was also on bgsufalcons.com. Other than that I'm not sure.

While in BG yesterday, I was able to get an up close look at the Stroh Center. Wasn't able to get in but that's fine. The front is VERY imposing when you walk up to it and that FALCON statue with "Forward Falcons" inscribed on the side is the bomb...can't wait to walk in there for the first time.

Maybe you had to buy one of the biggest (or bigger) bricks? Did those not getting invites buy the smallest ones by chance?

So this has degenerated into a thread with a bunch of guys comparing the size of their bricks? Typical.

Not having brick-envy or anything, but I bought a regular sized brick.

I recall getting an invitation with an RSVP request, but since I was not able to make it, I pretty much disregarded it.
