Re: Chauncey Orr?
From today's Sentinel, Coach Orr talks about Chauncey. He will be on an athletic scholarship.

I guess that makes sense with McElroy leaving so late in the process. I just hope he does not have one next year.

Well, I would certainly like to offer Coach Joplin my sincerest, heart-felt congratulations for his promotion!Warthog wrote:FWIW, Joplin was just hired as the basketball coach at Springfield High School.daspollak wrote:I know Joplin is no longer at the school up north.

I think it is safe to assume he will have one as long as he is here.

Re: Chauncey Orr?
I don't think that makes much sense since we can get him without using a scholarship and from what I have heard he did not warrant one. Logically if you can get him here without a scholarship and pay for nearly all of his tuition+ without a scholarship then it makes sense to do it. -orangeandbrown wrote:I think it is safe to assume he will have one as long as he is here.
But I agree with you, I bet that he has it for as long as Orr is here, that doesn't mean that makes sense.

You guys are ding dongs. Answer this: Why consume a scholarship unnecessarily? Me thinks that the scholarship will be committed in November for the 2012-13 season to another player.

I completely agree with you. I am ok with giving him one for the upcoming year, especially if there was no one really left when Danny Mac Left but beyond this year, why give him one when he can receive nearly the same benefit without having one. With that said I am not sure this program runs that way. I am 51-49 in the boat of they will foolishly waste a schollie on the kid.

Ding dong, I'm saying Orr won't waste a schollie by giving it to his kid for 2012-13. Blockhead.

Re: Chauncey Orr?
Is this the official start of the Summer Flaming Season?
Did Josh Almanson live at home? Would you want to go home with the coach after a loss? At least the first year, Chauncey needs the team bonding stuff. Let Mom, Dad, and Sister go home without him

Orange, perhaps it's time to test that addition by subtraction?

Kids, kids, kids.... y'all are getting on my nerves again with the name calling and all. Have a discussion w/o letting it degrade to finger pointing and name calling please. Thanks... *SMH*
