Indians lose in 10 to Twins. Tigers 1 game back and can close to .5 GB tonight!

Re: The 2011 Cleveland Indians
1 game lead for the Tribe as they head to New York to face a Yankees team that is going to be pretty ticked after the beatings they took from the Red Sox. I think I would be pretty happy with a split but would not be surprised if the Tribe lost 3 of the 4. Until this team gets back to playing the way they were at the beginning of the season, it's going to be tough to string victories together. It's only June but the race for the Central is definitely on.

Still way too early to get too caught up in it...but it sure is fun to have a Tigers-Indians series in mid-June actually mean something!

Virtual tie now between Tigs and Tribe. Interesting to see if the slide can be stopped.

The Tribe found their bats last night, even though Carmona tried to lose the game for them.

I still look for Chicago and Minnesota to get really involved before it is all said and done. I could definitely see this being a 3 team race the last week of the season. Sorry, I just don't see it including Cleveland.

My son went to the game last night wearing his Jake Westbrook/Cliff Lee autographed Tribe cap. He guaranteed a win, even after falling behind 3-0 in the first. I find it strange that he thinks a hat autographed by two guys not on the team seems to be significant in helping the current team win.

Whatever works. Don't knock it if it helps. Baseball seems to be a sport all about superstition, so I'm all for anything like this.Warthog wrote:My son went to the game last night wearing his Jake Westbrook/Cliff Lee autographed Tribe cap. My problem is that there is usually some fan of the other team doing his superstition and that will cancel mine out. As a result, I've pretty much determined that it doesn't help much.footballguy51 wrote:Whatever works. Don't knock it if it helps. Ervin Santana just no hit the Indians with 10 strike outs. Cleveland committed 5 errors and are now a season high(?) 2.5 games out.
3-1 your final.

Re: The 2011 Cleveland Indians
Tribe has NO hitters other than A.Cabrera and Hafner.... (OK, I'll give Michael Brantley a pass on this too). Rest of guys are weak, pathetic hitters who "cool" down the Prog. with their many strikouts.... For now, I'm giving Chisenhall and Kipnis a pass as we haven't seen enough of them. NO right handed hitters (when A.Cab hits lefty) with any consistency... amazing how many left handed hitters the tribe has accumulated.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Re: The 2011 Cleveland Indians
I'm wondering how many time in baseball history a team finished with the line of 1-0-5 (1 run, 0 hits, 5 errors)?
