Nice plug for BG in the College World Series tonight

During tonight’s broadcast of the Virginia vs. South Carolina game of the College World Series, Orel Hershiser was one of the announcers and they flashed up on the screen a two-sided graphic of a playing card from his days in a BG uniform. The one announcer also exclaimed “the Bowling Green Falcons!” They were sort of knocking Orel for his goofy appearance back then and he was having fun with the whole thing. They flashed the graphic up on the screen again a few minutes later. Nice little plug for BG for those who were watching. Did anyone else see this?

Just happened to be during the 30 minutes that my son and I watched. The baseball card appeared to have the spaceghost falcon though.

Perhaps because that was the logo when Hershiser was playing at BG? Just a thought.

I think Hershiser would have played during the days of the mighty LT Falcon.

Oh, I see what you mean now. Got my euphemisms for the new and old logos crossed there.

They used an old photo of him standing on the mound at BG on the front of the card and an old headshot of him on the back but the card appeared to be a "graphic" card, like it may have been made for the TV screen and not be an actual card. It had an autgraphed front, but I think they did it all by computer. But I could be wrong. I stopped it on DVR and took a couple pictures of what they showed and even took video of the clip itself. My phone doesn't have the best video, but you can see and hear what they say, and it's really funny how they start laughing and saying "Ohhhhh" and "Yes!" when his images comes up. The one announcer says "Bowling Green Falcons - here we go!" Then he says about the photo, "That is outstanding!" LOL. If someone can explain to me how you post that kind of stuff on here I will, or I can email it to someone if they know how.
