Very odd story.
So when he was younger, 10ish, his dad crashed his plane and he and the dad survived but it killed his mom and 2 siblings.
Now the dad crashed the plane again and the kid survived again but his dad and step mom passed away.
If you read the comments about the story there are 2 sides. Lots of people defending the dad and blaming pilot error and others saying how could you ever get into a plane again.
Not sure if this is too polarizing for this forum but I thought we would see some good takes in here.

If you look at the statistics, small aircraft are involved in something like 80 to 90% of aviation accidents. Pilot error accounts for more than 50% of those accidents.
"During the year 2008, there were a total of 28 accidents with two of those producing fatalities. There were three fatalities as a result of those two accidents. During the same time period, there were a total of 63 commuter and on-demand accidents. Of those, 19 produced fatalities for a total of 66 fatalities. Add to those numbers a shocking 1,559 general aviation accidents of which 275 produced fatalities for a total of 495 fatalities."
Think I'll just walk.
