We use Adidas because they provide brown apparel, something that Nike and UA won't do...

If this is true (and I have no reason to believe it not to be based on items I have bought from the 3 companies - only Adidas gear is brown) then the discussion ends here. You certainly should not change your school colors because Nike, UA or some other company finds it easier to use black, green or blue.

I own 2 different brown shirts from Under Armour...so that obviously isn't the case. Almost every aparel company makes brown and orange.

I have listened to people at BGSU kvetch about finding all manner of stuff in the right color for nearly twenty years. I consider it all to be the same basic cop out. The colors can be found, they can be ordered, it is anything but impossible. It is more the extra time and effort that is their issue I suspect. That doesn't fly either.
