EA NCAA 12 MAC Rankings

Post by psc2009 »

NCAA 12 came out today and once again, the MAC didn't fare too well. If you've been reading a lot of the pre-release hype, EA forgot to add some pretty important MAC players (especially for Ohio). But, it's another solid release, with updated bowl games, conferences and most importantly (IMHO) MAC stadiums!

If you haven't had a chance to play yet, here are the MAC team-by-team grades. I sort of hoped that BG would get a little more love, but I guess it will have to wait until next year after the Falcons roll off a bowl win.

Most of my college years, and immediately following college, are filled with fond memories of hours upon hours of this game...then transitioning into Madden by exporting draft classes and so forth. I used to rush out and grab the game before release at C&C every year, and live in a hole playing it for days.

But ever since the new consoles (360, PS3) generation, the gameplay has just been crap. For years I bought it and was grossly disappointed. Then I thought I'd stop buying both and just buy one of Madden or NCAA, but still I kept getting disappointed. Finally last year was the first year since 1997 that I didn't purchase a single football video game. I do miss them though...they were always a blast.

Unfortunately the gameplay isn't nearly as fun as it was back then and they decided to pay more attention to online play and let Dynasty mode suffer. Have they decided to fix the player progression glitch that has existed for the last 4 years yet?

I usually wait a few days to purchase it and wait to hear from my friends what they have to say about it, but its release usually starts the college football season for me!

Agreed. I loved 2003 and 2004. 2005 it started going downhill. I bought 2010 and have played 2011 sparingly but they are nowhere near as enjoyable whether you are playing online, against a friend or dynasty mode. I played the crap out of the 2004 version both online and in dynasty mode and loved it.

I bought the game and have played it for a few hours already. I enjoy using BG and taking them to the top - it sadly fulfills dreams of mine (haha). I enjoy playing in dynasty; however, I constantly have ideas on how things can be improved. Once again, BG is on the wrong sideline. It'd be nice to get that fixed. It'll also be interesting to see if EA updates the scenery for next season (Stroh). And, to answer hammb - it isn't fixed as much as I'd like it to be. It does seem like the players perform better throughout the season, which would show that they improve. However, the player's rating does not improve like I believe it should. This is the first time in a while that I've actually seen an in-season update on ratings (a couple of players updated - but not what I'd expect).

I have a lot of great ideas on how to make the game better for nerds like myself. I really get into the administrative part of the game as much or more than actually playing the games - odd, I know. I'm seriously contemplating contacting EA about some of my ideas - as odd as some may be.
