I had Samarco and Nate Miller here and decided to go with Miller and Almanson after a great deal of deliberation I just thought Josh was the best overall player left.

Things I found while researching who to take.

The number of stud transfer players we had when we really needed a good player (post McLeod Dakich area) is staggering.

Each of the below players went on to be very good players on other teams.
Scott Vandermeer
Seth Doliboa
Austin Montgomery
Erik Crawford
Jeremy King
Ron Lewis
Raheem Moss

A nice website for research

Haha..that's not iffy. I would have taken Polk in a split second if he were still on the board for me. By far the best defensive center we've had here in the era.

I'm finding that I have a real hard time finding 2 guys to fill the front court out at this spot. I think Netter is the no brainer as the 3rd best center we've had in the era, so I'll take him.

As for PF there are a few. I'm going to go on potential though because I think this guy has the ability to be by FAR the best of the bunch when it's all said and done. He can be a tenacious rebounder when he wants it, and if I tell him he's not allowed to shoot 3s I like it. A'uston Calhoun will be my starting PF.

There are my 2 picks:

Kevin Netter
A'uston Calhoun

I almost picked Netter because I knew him and just always liked him. His rebounding could have been a lot better though.

That is fine with me. I probably won't be on here again until tomorrow.

Had totally forgotten about this guy:

Good call with Esterkamp. I thought about adding him to my roster but I think in the end Calhoun is the better PF. It was pretty close to me though.

Here is where I need to think about my team needs. I need another guy to play the SG spot for depth, as AD is really the only guy on my roster with that capability, and even he was a natural PG. So I'll go with B-Mo...he's used to being a 6th man, and should provide some good depth.

If we're going a 7th round I'll take Kirk Cowan to backup the 4 & 5 spots.

FWIW I am much more excited for our basketball season then I am for the football season. Not sure why but I get the feeling we are going to be really good. Crawford, Thomas, Calhoun are all great players and I think Black and Clarke seem like they can be too. Should be fun to watch.

At this point I'm really not sure there is anybody left that is worth having on your team...I guess I'll take Torian Oglesby just cuz he can dunk really well. LOL
