2011 Parking Map

The most interesting thing on this map is the traffic flow. If you come in off I-75 you have to go and take a right on Mercer and then a right on Alumni drive heading back in the Eastern direction you just came from. Looks to me like there might be some congestion issues, I don't know why you wouldn't have Alumni Drive from Wooster open or why Stadium drive is closed at Lot L.
I enjoyed Lot 13 last year and the higher rate of $10 is worth my while with paved lot and nice medians.

Re: 2011 Parking Map
It's a conspiracy with the gas companies to make people use more gas and then, in turn, buy more gas. I'm sure Gregg Brandon can be blamed for this in some way.

Re: 2011 Parking Map
Personally I would choose to go back to the old place and have the large grassy areas back. Especially since it's half the price for those that have to pay to park. Unfortunately, that may not be an option as it appears anybody with an RV will still be stuck in that one lot 20 area.
Whatever the group decides works best I'll defer to the group. It's not where we're at that matters so much as who we're with.

Re: 2011 Parking Map
I would imagine that the reason for this is to keep traffic on westbound wooster from backing up onto 75. There have been problems with that in the past.

Re: 2011 Parking Map
You guys are way too good finding this info ahead of time. BgWaRrIoR is exactly right. Law enforcement asked us to use this new traffic flow pattern because of traffic backing up onto I-75 and causing major safety concerns. We will have a press release out in the next week or two with these changes. I'm getting really excited for football season and am looking forward to seeing everyone out at the games!
Thanks!

Re: 2011 Parking Map
Jason-
I "sleuthed" it by clicking the ad link on bgsufalcons.com for "The Nest" on the The Nest website, which is quite well done I might add, there is a link for "Parking" which brought me to this map.
Any insight on the Wyoming gametime yet or when the time will likely be released? It is my one annual tailgate trip and sure would make the 12 hour drive (each way) a little more worth it if it was a 7pm kick. . .

Dayons_Den -- Yeah, we knew it was on there and knew it would only be a matter of time before folks started seeing it. We just didn't want to put out a press release about the changes too early and then people forget about it until our home opener.
As for the Wyoming game time, we have an Ask the AD scheduled with Greg Christopher tomorrow afternoon and that is one of the questions. I don't think the time is set in stone yet, but he might shed a bit more light on the subject tomorrow.
Thanks!

Re: 2011 Parking Map
+1. I kinda dug parking in the paved lots south of the stadium last year but always enjoyed the old area over by 75. Jake's games are on Sat so there will be some early season game I'll have to miss...hammb wrote:Personally I would choose to go back to the old place and have the large grassy areas back. A simple solution to that would be another 2-10 season, right?

Or informing the moronic UT fans that there is another way other than I-75 to get to Bowling Green.h2oville rocket wrote:BGSU SID wrote:Law enforcement asked us to use this new traffic flow pattern because of traffic backing up onto I-75 and causing major safety concerns.

So the UT game is the only one where attendance is sufficient to create problems? Seems silly to arrange the parking all season just to accommodate moronic UT fans.

Well, I've seen scalpers outside the Doyt twice in the past 3 years..and neither time was UT involved in the game. So don't let it get to your head.h2oville rocket wrote:Redwingtom wrote:Or informing the moronic UT fans that there is another way other than I-75 to get to Bowling Green.h2oville rocket wrote:BGSU SID wrote:Law enforcement asked us to use this new traffic flow pattern because of traffic backing up onto I-75 and causing major safety concerns.

Aww crap. . .per the "Ask the AD" Mr. Christopher indicated it is looking like a Noon kick off on Sept. 17.BGSU SID wrote:Dayons_Den -- Yeah, we knew it was on there and knew it would only be a matter of time before folks started seeing it. This actually makes a lot of sense. It'll be 10 am Wyoming time - kind of inconvenient for them.Dayons_Den wrote:Aww crap. . .per the "Ask the AD" Mr. Christopher indicated it is looking like a Noon kick off on Sept. 17.BGSU SID wrote:Dayons_Den -- Yeah, we knew it was on there and knew it would only be a matter of time before folks started seeing it. I blame Gregg Brandon.
