As for the Wyoming game time, we have an Ask the AD scheduled with Greg Christopher tomorrow afternoon and that is one of the questions. I don't think the time is set in stone yet, but he might shed a bit more light on the subject tomorrow.

Thanks!

Aww crap. . .per the "Ask the AD" Mr. Christopher indicated it is looking like a Noon kick off on Sept. 17.
Well that will just go ahead and cement this as one of the worst home football schedules I can imagine. 2 weeknight games in cold weather. Homecoming doubled up with UT. Only one evening kickoff...and that is against a 1AA school.

Blah...

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

This makes it very tough for me to make any games this season. I usually work Saturday's until 12:30. To get Saturday off I will have to change my schedule during the week and that's only if someone else doesn't already have that Saturday off...so frustrating. Why not just get rid of the lights? We never use the damn things.

Let's kick this Wyoming game off at 11:00. I know it doesn't work any better for some but we need wins and if it is 9:00 am their time it's all good for us. They wouldn't mind a 9:00 pm start out there when we visit.

That is really dumb. We should be scheduling games to get the most fans in the stands as possible. I heard from someone in the know, that is exactly why we are playing at noon. It would be a 10am start for Wyoming. GC is saying something about tv to cover himself, but there is no chance the game ends up on tv. Another genius decision!!!

I like noon kickoffs. I like night kickoffs. I truly don't care, I'm just ready for the season to start so we can complain about things other than the AD screwing kickoff times and scheduling up.....

Some prefer noon over evening. Some prefer Friday over Saturday. My gosh what is the magical time that makes all happy?

+1

Drago, shouldn't we be doing what we can to try to get wins? If I were Wyoming, I'd much rather play at 7 pm Eastern Time. Fly in on Friday & have all day Saturday to rest up for the game. I would hate to play at noon (10 a.m. my time).

There is no start time that will make all fans happy - what a novel idea for the team/administration to try & do what they can to gain an advantage? That's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At a school like BG the goal should be to get as many people in the stands as possible. Noon starts make it very difficult for alums who try to make a day out of coming to the game. It's one thing if all our other games were night games, but this decision probably eliminates about 2500 fans from attending. That is probably a below avg estimate. We need fans in the stands not gimics to try and beat bad non conference opponents.

No kickoff time works for everyone whether its at 12, 4, 7 or whenever.

At least it is a home game on a Saturday in September.

We start games at 12pm for "MAC game of the week" all the time. If this gives us an advantage I say go for it.

For those wanting a 7PM kickoff you get one the week before vs. Morgan State.

Plus you'd be amazed how a 2-0 start could get butts in the stands, regardless of kickoff time.
