While we were on vacation in the Poconos, Noah found out that he'll be participating in the Nerf Dart Tag National Championship in Orlando in a few weeks.
He'll be in the 13-17 age bracket competing first against kids in the Northeast and, if luck holds, against kids across the country. We'll be there less than 48 hours, but it's still going to be a great time, I'm sure!

Are college coaches permitted to attend these things? I know that its mostly the shoe reps that run them and I'm always suspicious of their motives. I'd really make sure Noah stays clear of Vinnie "Fins" Pointer. He's ruined more Dart Tag amateurs than any shoe rep out there. Anyway Good Luck, Noah!
Seriously, that's pretty neat- any time you compete for anything at a national level its big fun. One of my employees just had her son finish fifth (of 69 who made the Nationals) in the 13 yoa group at the National Junior Olympics in the shot put. She was on her phone giving me minute by minute reports of the finals from New Orleans. If nothing else you get a great trip to a nice city. Well, its Orlando in the summer but it will still be a great trip.

GOOD LUCK, NOAH!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
