Don't mean to be rude, but I could give a crap that the Schmuckeyes and Meeechigan are playing in Cleveland. Hmmm...Jan 15th, what would happen if one of those infamous snows would blow in off the lake, and drop like 10 feet of the white stuff while they are trying to play...would be kinda funny, wouldn't it.

We don't have to play outside. We don't have to be in any certain league.

We need to do what WE need to do. And much of that is underway- Bergeron and staff, progress in first year, first true full recruiting class, arena updates, locker room/team area updates and so on.

We have nearly all of what we need in place. We need a little more. The coach, players, administration are on one page.

We'll have a league. We will play for championships. We'll win. The right way.

Sure issues remain and some obstacles have to be tackled and solved. But we are much much closer. I know our fans will hang in there and remain supportive

And GO TO THE GAMES! When you can. Cheer and have fun.

What does this game do for TheOSU program when it flops at the box office?

When people in Columbus are apathetic towards the hockey program what makes TheOSU think people outside Cbus - specifically an NFL/NBA/MLB town like Cleveland - really care to sit outside to watch a mediocre product play Michigan?

Would this game likely experience more success in The Q with the option to pull the curtain on the upper level seats if ticket sales fail to hit 5 digits?

I am sure there will be a LOT of non-hockey fans will go to that game, just because it's a weasel/schmuck match up and a novelty game. It's not going to flop at the box office. Even if a ton of single seats are not bought up, you can be sure there will be plenty of corporate $$$ in the coffers!! Thi$ will be nothing but a financial $ucce$$ for both team$.

If I remember Jack Vivian's class well enough it seems he felt Cleveland wouldn't support a hockey team and had some proof of non-support (one of his many interesting sidebar conversations that we all should have taken more stock in at the time). The fact that Columbus got one and they didn't says something.

Cleveland does, however, currently have a minor hockey league team. The Lake Erie Monsters is an AHL team (affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche). And anytime you can have a sidebar conversation with Jack Vivian...you should tape it!! The man has forgotten more about hockey than most of us will ever know!! His background and "stories" are amazing to say the least. Someone needs to write his biography!!

Have you ever been to a game with Michigan hockey fans? Vilest bunch of people you'll ever run into. I've been to A LOT of hockey games in almost 40 years of fandom - home and away, college and professional, you name it - and Yost is the only place I refuse to return to.

There are between 5,000-10,000 casual Monster fans on any given night. They draw well in Cleveland. I think this game won't sell out, but it will draw a good crowd because people in Ohio are idiots for THE OSU. It really bothers me that so many people who have no connections to THE school or have graduated from else where are such avid Luckeye fans.

Have you ever been to a game with Michigan hockey fans? Vilest bunch of people you'll ever run into. I've been to A LOT of hockey games in almost 40 years of fandom - home and away, college and professional, you name it - and Yost is the only place I refuse to return to.

I know how you feel. I dreaded going to back Yost (after MANY years away) for the playoffs last year, but HAD to force myself to go. Probably the FIRST time, I didn't have issues with obnoxious fans. It was probably because I was sitting in the endzone with a ton of other BG fans, and only a few weasels, but even walking around the arena wasn't a problem during that series.
