Tough defeat yesterday in 14 innings, but is anybody else hugely annoyed at the fact that the Indians can't beat the White Sox? The way the Indians play against them you'd think they were the Phillies or the Red Sox. Which in itself is ironic since the Red Sox stink against the Indians.

Yep, the Sox have been a thorn in the Tribe's side this season. And I think Carmona, who is pitching tonight, has like an infinite e r a vs them this season.

Me thinks anything over 9 is most likely akin to infinite ;)

Yeah, Carmona actually woke up and pitched a decent game. Where did that come from?

He pitched pretty decent against the Tigers last week as well...most likely the blind squirrel thing.

Actually Carmona has pitched pretty good recently. Since coming of the DL in mid-July, he has 6 starts and era of 2.63.

Don't know how many of you guys saw or heard about the story, but about 10days ago or so, Jack Hanahan's wife went into premature labor (while the Tribe was in Boston, to head to Tex.). No regular flights were available til 6am the next morning but the guys (teammates) heard about it, took up a collection AMONG THEMSELVES and paid for a private jet to take Jack to Cleve., where he arrived 15 min. before his wife delivered a 2lb. + baby boy. Mom and son are now doing well, but I was totally impressed with the way this team pulled this off. My wife says she loves this team because they never seem to quit, despite not having the overall talent of many of their opponents and I think she's right. The Indians have become a fun, but sometimes frustrating team to watch due to an overall lack of hitting, but a solid pitching staff that seems to keep them in most games. Stayed up the other nite to see them LOSE in 14, after winning in 14 last week. =D>

61, I read about that story. What makes it even better to me is that Masterson basically started the collection and he doesn't make any more money then Hannahan does.

Tribe smoked by the Tigers tonight, 10-1. OUCH. Outscored 14-2 in two games....better salvage the last game tomorrow.

Nice throw by AJ...nice play by Avila to block the plate. Suck it, Tribe... :)
