EARTHQUAKE!!!

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Meant to post this last night, but got distracted. I can't believe no one has posted about this yet. 5.8 on the Richter scale!

I was at my school, on the 3rd floor, when I felt the floor moving. It felt like someone was bouncing their foot up and down nearby, but no one was (and even if someonewas, you wouldn't have felt the floor move like THAT!). I could see the water in my water bottle quivering. It was pretty unsettling being on the 3rd floor and knowing the floor should NOT be moving. It was about 20 minutes later, that I found out there had been an earthquake!!!

Anyone else feel the quake?

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

My wife said she felt it, and a few others at my lab up here at UofM, but I didn't. My brother lives in Fairfax, and works in DC. He was on the 10th floor of his building. Apparently said it was a fun little ride. Their house shook a bit, luckily it didn't wake the baby, even though my sister-in-law was holding him and running around "like an Idiot".

I work a little north of DC and man oh man did we feel that! Shook the entire building. I knew almost immediately what it was. Definitely an odd experience. And now we have a hurricane coming this way this weekend ... lucky us ...

I didn't notice it...but I'm used to moving the earth when I walk... :)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Didn't feel it here in BG at all, either did my wife. I actually found out through facebook that there was even an earthquake. However I heard (dont know if its true, havent looked into it) that they found there is a fault line in D.C.
