Falcon Men's Soccer vs #9 Michigan

Post by Falconboy »

Ryan scored the latest goal to put BG up 2-0 over the #9 ranked Michigan Wolverines. Less than 2 mins left. This would be a awesome win for the men's soccer program.

livestats makes it look like its over with a BG victory. Didn't we just beat a ranked Butler team.........it was a scrimmage but along with this win, maybe the Zips should worry.

great start to the fall mens sport season.

Not to mention the 2100+ on hand to watch the match.... apparently the largest crowd EVER at Cochrane field, wit hthe previous record being 650 in 1997. Great to see this kind of support for our soccer program!

This win is pretty amazing considering two years ago BG only had three wins.

+1 Congrats on an awesome win and fantastic crowd!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

And, I think, 4 or 5 years ago, BG was 0-19 for the year. BTW, Akron routed Cleveland State last night 5-0 and over 5,000 fans were there at First Energy Field. UA really has a great thing going and BG needs to get to that level.

Does BG play Akron in soccer this year? I would love to see that matchup.
