I would be shocked if this game doesn't sell out...Michigan fans won't hesitate to drive over to see the game either.

Yeah...I've been around football fans at Michigan moreso than hockey. I'll have to take yor word that they're humanoids....

Humanoid implies some resemblance to human - Spock is humanoid, you could even make the argument that Chewbacca is humanoid in that he is upright, bipedal and bilaterally symmetrical.

Michigan hockey fans? Not so much.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

I don't root for either of these teams when it comes to hockey but as a fan, and due to the novelty of an outdoor game, I definitely want to attend this game. What remains to be seen is how much they are going to charge for seats. That will be the biggest determining factor as to whether or not I go to this game...that and the fact that it takes place on my 1-year anniversary. But the wife said she'd love to go too so I've got that going for me. I think the CCHA is missing out here. Make it a weekend event. Get at least two more teams involved. Two games on Saturday, "Championship" and "Consolation" games on Sunday. Hell, get 8 total teams, 2 games Saturday, 2 games Sunday. This could be so much more. I think the idea is great but they need to expand it to include more fan bases. Offer two day passes for both games, etc.

They do that in Detroit at the Joe every year between Christmas and New year's...the Great Lakes Invitaional. It used to be hosted by Michigan Tech, then it became Michigan and Michigan Tech. At some point MSU became a permanent third school. The fourth school is a floater...somebody new from accross the countrty gets invited.

All the snide remarks about OSU and *ichigan make some of you folks sound like jealous 15 year old girls.

Come on, you're better than that.

This kind of game is good for college hockey, period. It helps get more media attention and will likely end up drawing in a number of people who aren't typically drawn to college hockey -- but they may be from now on.

I'd like to think the BGSU folks might want to contact the people organizing this game and talk to them about the possibility of a doubleheader in the future that could involve BG as one of the teams.

No, I'm not. :-D I just love making snide remarks about the schmucks and weasels!!! And I will continue to do so, because it is so much fun and they deserve it, of course!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Jealous of what? NCAA investigations, arrogant attitudes, having all the benefits being a BCS school and still cheating? I am sure jealous of that. After years of hearing BCS schools rip schools like BG, why should I respect them? Beating them in any sport, any time, is sweet.

Absolutely on target Freak. When was the last time one of BGSU's programs was under NCAA probation? NEVER
