RWT,
If you are correct, then WHY didn't the catcher and/or Mgr. come out to bitch? Nobody from Oakland challenged the call, not that it'd make a difference anyway.
BTW, went down to the "PROG" today to see the Indians absolutely lay down to Oakland 7-0... Acta's interview indicated that the Oakland pitcher has "some of the best stuff" in the league and the tribe hasn't been able to touch him this year...Sure was true today.
Last I heard KC was beating your Tigs 10-8.... Cleve. talk radio guys were talking about Tribe's "limited" chances to still win this thing... biggest point they made was that, if the pitching doesn't have a solid day, they don't have the hitting to overcome that problem, whereas both Detroit and Chisox do... Not an astounding revelation, but true enough...They estimated the Tribe would have to go 19-9 or thereabouts to "have a shot". Probably true, especially if some of those 19 wins were to come vs. Det. and Chi.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Indians, well Shelley Duncan, is having his way with Justin Verlander today. His pair of two-run Home Runs has the Indians leading, 4-2 with Masterson dancing around some serious danger. I have a feeling we're heading to the Bullpen Mafia in the 7th.

Why in God's name did Masterson come out for the 7th??? He was already over 100 pitches and did not have his usual nastiness. Bad managing. Should have gone straight to the bullpen.

He loves sticking it to the dumb-ass Dolan's for trading him two years ago. Two Home Runs and 11 RBI so far in this series.

Didn't get beat by the Tigers today...pulled the dirt on to our own coffin today. Had so many chances to win that game, all they had to do was go to the bullpen about 3 batters sooner than they did.

Perhaps. The way the Tigers are rolling right now who knows. I just wished we could start the playoffs in five days!
