Tailgating?

Post by hammb »

What's the plan for this Saturday?

Rick & Marta: are you guys going to take the RV? If so are you forced to park in the same lot as last year? I have no problem bringing my vehicle up and parking it there overnight too if that's necessary again...it worked out well last year.

Anybody else coming out to party? This is really our only shot at a full Saturday tailgate this year, we better make it count!

YUP! We'll be bringing the camper out to the same lot as last year! So, yes, bring the car over Friday night. We have to bring the camper in on Friday when there is a LOT of room to get it parked! I'd LOVE to be back on the east side of the stadium in the new grass lots, but guess that is for cars only. So, we'll be in lot 20 again!! Camper already has a lot of stuff in it, ready for the game!! WOOO-HOOO!!

Dear Everyone,

Please save some of your tailgating juice for early next Saturday and also for the Toledo and Temple games. I can't come this week. Frowney Face.

Lot 20....great....I was going to post today re: where the "group" is going to be. Joyce and I are bringing my daughter and her husband again...she's an OSU alum, but has come to BG games with me for the past 3-4 yrs. or so: We probably won't get there until 4ish however, as my son in law has to work on Sat.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to this Sat. as I'm going to miss the Wyoming game (the one OOC game that I really WANTED to see) due to a special longtime friend's birthday bash.

Lot 20 sounds good to me. I'll plan to drop my vehicle off on Friday night.

I will definitely have the deep fryer for anybody that wants to cook anything. I believe I'm going to do fish and chips for my group :)

My son and I will drop by with drinks in tow. We'll park in the season ticket holders' lot and walk over with a couple of chairs. Also, I'm curious about the new grass lots on the East side of the Doyt. Have they grown in enough to be used for parking?

We probably won't be there until 5 pm.

We will have the Margaritaville G1000 latched on for grilling purposes

I wonder how that's going to work out. They planted grass on all those former parking areas out there by I75. I also hear it's been raining Wednesday and Thursday with more rain on the way Friday and Saturday in BG.

Remember how it gets in the Black Swamp when it rains? Better bring your boots. #-o

Yeah, this could be the worst possible situation to occur. Non-stop rain leading up to the very first weekend of use could ruin the fields for the whole season!

Fish! YUM!!! :prayer: And the question that inquiring minds REALLY want to know....any "special" cherries?????

And I'm so excited all the usual suspects will be joining us!!! I was afraid we'd be split up with the East lots open. I have my taco dip made, brats, burgers, dogs, and buns bought, along with numerous other items that are the usual tailgate stuff we bring!! I am SOOOOO ready for the weekend!!!! :supz:

Looking forward to an "at home" day of tailgating and then the real thing for 9/17,

Interested to hear the comments on traffic flow, the Stroh lots, and the grass lots. I'm thinking Lot 13 for us- paved lot with a nice grass median.
