A few of these might have participated in game 1 but most of these played their first game Saturday.
QB Hurley
DL Wagner, Gilbert, Colvin
WR J.Jones
RB Martin, Pettigrew, Geiger
OL Fry, Hodges, Byler, Piazza, Hodges, Hager
TE Jenkins and Rolf
FB Pohlman
Rover Rice, Moore
DB J.Davis, A.Davis, Ford, Sutton
Redshirts burned so far..........One we all know is Anthon Samuels but I believe I've also seen Brian Sutton(DB#34), Zac Colvin(DE#92) & Chris Pohlman(FB#42). The stats listed Darrel Hunter(DB#25) but I think that was really John Davis(DB#25) instead.
Fun to see a lot of other players in the game.

Participation list also include Akenberger(sp?), who was on sidelines in "civvies".... but there WAS a #34 (I believe) in the game... with several duplicate numbers (1OFF- 1DEF), the stat people have to be more careful.Siborg wrote:A few of these might have participated in game 1 but most of these played their first game Saturday.

I would say Sutton definitely played. I saw a #34 out there on defense and wondered when Akenberger switched, then used my keen eye and skills of deduction to realize that it was absolutely not him.Class of 61 wrote:Participation list also include Akenberger(sp?), who was on sidelines in "civvies".... but there WAS a #34 (I believe) in the game... with several duplicate numbers (1OFF- 1DEF), the stat people have to be more careful.Siborg wrote:A few of these might have participated in game 1 but most of these played their first game Saturday.

Was great to see all the young guys (younger than those already starting) on the field in a situation with us on the happy end of the scoreboard. Not to mention the way we regained focus after getting sloppy in the 2nd quarter to put the game out of reach and get to the bench. Roll Along!!

We caught that one up in the booth as well (or rather one of my trusty sidekicks did)Class of 61 wrote: Participation list also include Akenberger(sp?), who was on sidelines in "civvies".... but there WAS a #34 (I believe) in the game... with several duplicate numbers (1OFF- 1DEF), the stat people have to be more careful.
