transfer: First they told me $10, then they said $20 and when they handed it to me, it was $25. Pretty sweet!

Freak: You got it. Between the tenderloin we cooked on BGFan's grill and the amazing fish & chips hammb shared, we had plenty to eat before we went into the Doyt. And I think this was the first time we made it the whole game without a trip to the concession stands!

We didn't go onto the field after the game - also a first - but didn't see anyone have trouble getting down there. It's cool that they wait until after the alma mater. I love our post game tradition - the team going to the band for the alma mater, then dancing around to AZZ, followed by a little mingling. Great stuff!

They have probably been following the board and were afraid that birdman was going to try and shank Coach Clawson for making him look like a damned fool who by starting the season 2-0. This is really the only logical explanation for the heightened security.

Had to re-read that one.

I am glad someone started this thread...this was about the only downer for Game day operations...other than losing my connections for free parking.

Bag searches, can't bring a starbucks into the game,....tootsie roll prevention? are you kidding me!!!

Logan was jonesin for some Frickers so we headed over there with about 2 minutes to go...so didn't know that field access was prevented. That would have hacked me off if we stayed for that (which I wanted to)...that needs to change per the comments above as a neat thing to do!

Karl, congrats on your "field pass".
There is no other way to finish a season other than yelling at the top of your lungs among BG's players holding the Peace Pipe aloft!

Field access was only prevented until Morgan State had left the field, like it always is, once they were people were allowed on the field

I noticed nothing different about this game compared to any other. I only noticed the "event staff" after the game, and only then after I was already on the field with my son when somebody with a radio was commenting about "the crowd seems to be dispersing." Seemed like an utter joke to me in any case. All the 9/11 talk is fine, but frankly in the last ten years, I've never had an issue taking bags or food into a game, and have yet to actually sit where my ticket actually is.

The tie-wraps on the gates didn't stop me from making an end-run to the entrance anyway. And afterwards the crowd seemed to have its normal fun on the field. Seems more like a lot to do about nothing.

Did anyone else get turn away at the gate for having a metal backed stadium seat?! I came in on the East side (gate 10). I did not see any announcement (newspaper, emails etc.) stating that this type of seat would no longer be permitted at the stadium? Made sure I told everyone who was walking towards the stadium with seats like mine to take them back to their cars! Do we know if this was a one time (9/11) issue?!

Oh wow, really? Are they pushing people to buy chairback seats if they want the chairback? That's just stupid. Next they will be banning blankets to put on the seats or cover-up with when it's cold.
