They both look good.
I will say that I did think JCrewU's board looked better, but now that I see our complete board, I'd have to give the nod to ours. The logo looks better than just "MIAMI UNIVERSITY", and the scoreboard portion on ours seems to be bigger and will be a lot easier to read/see. Otherwise, MU's board just larger ads.
But kudos to both teams for bringing their stadium a little closer to the new millennium

Miami's does have two color matrix boards on either side of the actual scoring portion . That loks pretty cool. ON the right you can see where it says "half time" that is like a mini version of a video/graphics board and there appears to be another one on the other side below the pepsi ad.
all bowling green
I do like the top with the logo on for ours alot better than their generic "Miami University". And Pepsi must have paii them more to get a much bigger ad
I do like the "message boards" that Miami has. I think ours would look better if we had the bleachers in front of it. It would feel more like a scoreboard instead of a big wall up in the air. But all in all, it is a HUGE improvement over what we used to have.

"70:59" left in the fourth? Quick! Someone turn off the power to the popcorn machine, the scoreboard's gone haywire again!!!
I think they both have their positives, and are both very nice. As much as I love to say bad things about Miami(OH), that white framework is pretty cool, as are the extra video boards. Though I do love the orange cap with the new logo on ours, too.

I love our board, although I agree with those that said it would look better w/ bleachers. It just looks like a scoreboard rising out of nowhere right now...which I suppose is what it isTG1996 wrote:"70:59" left in the fourth? Quick! The one thing I prefer about Miami(OH)'s board is the brick, but that fits in with their campus decor, so its understandable. I still would love to see a brick surrounding wall around the Doyt...
I like the top of BG's better, but I still like Miami's better overall. None the less, I like ours 100 percent more than what was there before. I also agree our board looks lost just standing there on its own. I only hope if the tents do not stay long term that seating gets added there again. If not, it would have been better to bring it in closer to the field. If they made a brick base to house the support polls, that could help it blend in better and would make it look much nicer as well.
GO BG!!!
The picture above of the Miami board does not depict the finished product. Since the picture shown above was taken, more work was done but there is still more in the works. The entire structure runs just about the width of the field.
Miami will remove the South endzone seating (right in front of the scoreboard) and the new scoreboard will "frame-in" the new "cradle of coaches plaza" that is being completed behind the board.
