911 10th Anniversary

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the victim's families on this very somber day. On a personal BG note, my thoughts are with the family of former assistant Falcon Hockey Coach Kevin Patrick, who lost his brother James, in the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

FF,
Don't know if you saw the "special" feature on the post 911 babies...but it was really well done and very heartwarming... they'd taken a picture of all the babies born to dads who'd been killed in the attacks back around 2002 I'd guess, then followed up by putting the kids into the same grouping today... Those kids are obviously now 10yrs old or so and it was very emotional to see and hear them talk about their dads who they never knew.

These were given out at the game. A very thoughtful friend got one for me!!

(btw, I have no idea if I'm posting this pic correctly.... It showed a box with a red X in it when I previewed it. If it doesn't post, I don't know how to do it then.... But it is a neat Falcon/911 pin!)

VERY Nice Pin...and an even better gesture...don't know where they were giving them out, but either they ran out or were giving them out at "isolated' locations...as we didn't see any. Would like to have one.

Thanks Drew! The person who gave it to me sits up the "warm/inside" seats. If they were giving them out at the stadium, I never saw them. I found it in my mailbox when I got to school on Monday! It put a Monday morning smile on my face....which doesn't usually happen! LOL!!

GO FALCONS!!
BEAT WYOMING!!
