Does Morgan State win count towards bowl eligibility?

Well if we were going have one of these games I would rather it be before conference play. Still sucks.

I swear I'm going to puke all over the floor if I hear another " were so young" excuse. We heard this all year last year. We killed Idaho on the road , we killed an overmatched Morgan state, today had nothing to do with being young. We turned the ball over 6 times and had an extra point blocked. That's not being young its being careless with the ball.

Given how the guys battled back, given how every mistake made was correctable, and given how many outstanding players we have right now in Jorden, Cooper, Hodges, Hutson, Schilz, Samuel, Woods, Gates, Morgan, and Jones, I don't think I've ever been this happy after a loss! Glad they picked today as a non-conf game to lay an egg as far as mistakes, glad they battled to the end. As long as they learn from all these mistakes, which they will, and correct them, which they will, I think they'll take care of business against Miami next week.

I agree sporty. This was a bad team we lost too today. Turnovers happen but 6?

Ridiculously sloppy. You can't call yourself a good team and do what BG did today. I hope they can correct this before next week.

Ok then....

How many players on the team?

We have 13 seniors and 14 juniors.

We are not an old team.

Now the turnovers are a different story. When you've played the game as long as many of these guys have, you know that you need to hold onto the ball.

The young excuse is an absolute crutch. 2 plays that absolutely set me off today.

1) Dead ball personal foul on an offensive lineman. Turns 3rd and 7 into 3rd and 22. Blocked field goal results in 0 points.

2) Jumping off 'effin sides on 4th and 1. PeeWee lineman know better than that. No way Wyoming snaps that ball up 7, with 1:30 left ball on their own 39. Flat out, one of the dumbest plays you will see in big time college football.

It is a young team. It will be a better team. But I don't expect much from them this year. They won two already, sure, against horrible teams, and looked pretty "loose" in doing what they did. They were "loose" today, and it bit them in the collective arse. So it goes.

I don't expect to much more this year, I've seen the games I'm going to attend, I'll tune-in for spring-football, see how 2012 shapes up. It will be late this year before we see the kinds of improvement they'll leverage next year. There is a lot of basic stuff about the program I'm still pleased with.

Actually jumping offsides when a team is trying to draw you offsides is uncalled for, but if they did go for it and make it, we would had to have used a timeout immediately after the 4th down make and before 1st down was snapped. Although inexcusable, jumping offsides saved us 40 secs in the long run and made the last TD even possible. It's almost like the scenario do you let them score rather than running out the clock and downing the ball. In future games we cannot jump offsides in those type of situations but in today's case, it actually helped us save time for the potential tying score.

Enough said with that post. The only thing missing was heartbreaking loss. I would rather a team just take it to us in a loss and say they were just the better team than to fall apart like we did and lose by a single point like that.

I think I was happy at the start of the game, anxious by the 2nd quarter, hopeful at halftime, digusted in the middle 3rd quarter, disdainful by the early 4th, neurotic during the final drive, euphoric after we scored the TD, and then felt complete emptiness after the PAT was blocked.

These games are a complete emotionally roller-coaster through heaven and hell - and back some games. It's been like this for almost 7 years now. I'm absolutely certain I'm losing months and years off my life by following this team.

This was like a typical MAC game...nerve racking. We certainly have talent but mistakes killed us as all have pointed out. However, I really do not believe we should assume any MAC team is any better or worse than us at this point. I think we are capable of beating any MAC team and we are capable of losing to any MAC team. So get ready for some more roller coaster rides.
