Hotels for Women's basketball Tourn.?

Post by Class of 61 »

Just got to thinking about the fact that BG is to "host" the NCAA women's basketball tournament 1st round... wonder WHERE they plan to put people who come in for the game considering the sad state of hotels in BG... I know they could go to Perrysburg etc., but it'd sure be nice to see some new construction replace some of the old crappy places like Victory Inn etc.
Obviously, not enough time to do it now, but just thinking ahead even beyond this tournament. BG sadly could use some new facilities. [-o<

A good start was tearing down the old Holiday Inn/Days Inn/Knights Inn by Waffle House.

Hopefully Victory Inn is next.

I bet the tournament has reserved team rooms at the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn in BG as well as the Hilton Gardens at Levis Commons and the Holiday Inn French Quarter at Perrysburg (or maybe the Marriott Courtyard).

I knew that tearing down the Angel Motel would someday come back to bite us in the ass....

If there's an Angel Motel there, it's a fake...the real Angel was on north main along where the KFC is now...

I would have thought the "Roll-Inn Motel" in Rollersville would be the HQ hotel.
