Nothing better than beating the Miami Whammy!

Wish I could have seen this one. First game I missed this year and it was a good one. With the exception of whatever the hell happened last week I'm thoroughly impressed with Clawson and his team's turnaround this year.
Yeah right girl!

Solid, solid win guys!
Few quick thoughts ...
Dyzert is a pro prospect? Really? I only saw one pro prospect at QB on the field, and that was Matt Schilz.
Offensive line got better as the game went on. The ability to put Bojicic back at center is huge.
We had like nine guys or something catch passes. That feels really, really good.
We have a run game! And we can stop a run game!
Pass defense was a little raw at times, but the pass rush was quite dominant through most of the game.
Schmiedebusch ... what was the deal with those last two punts? They were both less than 50 yards and neither was downed within the 20. What's the deal? (I jest, I jest). Schmiedebusch might be the best punter in the country right now.
Samuel continues to impress me. That 97 yard TD run was beautiful. He got banged up at the end but I think he's just fine.
Last week, it took the guys looking up at the scoreboard and seeing the time tick close to 0 for them to wake up. They made lots of mistakes all game long and that cost them the game, but I said I think they grew up a lot. Today, there were mistakes early, but when things were rough in the first half and early in the second, they responded to adversity to perfection. Never, never, never count these Falcons out of any game!

WVU better not treat next week as a tune up between the LSU game and Big East play. If they do that, they're welcoming an upset. Go Falcons!

Mark Miller had a 96 yard pass to Dave Dudley for a TD against San Diego State in 1976 at home. Don't know if there's been a longer play away from home.
Nothing else longer than Miller-to-Dudley. So the Samuel run ties it.

When I heard that, I almost spit out my Red Stripe beer. He is nowhere near an NFL player.

He's such an NFL prospect, they ran a draw on 3rd and 6 in the first quarter. They must trust the hell out of that kid's arm.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
