Toledo/Temple

Post by VDub26Falcon »

Toledo's running game is absolutely shredding Temple right now. Is this the game Temple team that played Maryland or did they replace everyone? Does this game say more about slUT or Temple?

Toledo looks hungry. They could easily be 3-1 and not 1-3.

MD?
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Maryland...as in Temple isn't that good, Maryland sucks.

Beckman had the game plan to attack Temple. They put 8-9 guys in the box and dared Temple's QB to pass....something he really isn't good at. UT ran the ball really well and were able to capitalize on some esrly Temple TO's. Once they got ahead by more than a score, Temple had little chance to catch them.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I think Toledo is a much better team than the record indicates this year.....as much as it pains me to say that.

True...heck of a way to bounce back after getting shafted in the Dome.

Speaking of that, did you see we got the BE treatment as well on that knee down replay overturn to start the second half?

Not yet...I was able to catch the 1st quarter on the radio on the way to Dover for my HS reunion. DVR'ed the game but haven't watched it yet. LOL. Saw the score scrolling on the tube at the bar and by 38-10, I knew we were done for the day. OUCH.

I'll watch it later today....and WMU is on STO this Sat at 2!
