Re: BG at WMU Game Thread
Well THAT was a Bush League move there. WTF #90?

I agree we shouldn't lose conference games this badly. My main goal for this season was to stop seeing blowouts and be competitive every week. I can excuse last week but this is WMU, they have similar athletes.vwfalcon wrote:I'm not saying WMU isn't good... Schilz didn't even play bad today, but he plays like he doesn't care and the team feeds off of that.

If the defense keeps this up, gonna be tough to win another game the rest of the year. Embarrassing performance.

No. They won the game after Wyoming.

That's what I'm talkin about. Time to give someone some time who is hungry. Schilz has potential, but I like him better in the backup role.bgdodgeball4 wrote:Schilz didn't even play bad today, but he plays like he doesn't care and the team feeds off of that.

Clawson has a good kid coming next year out of Bishop Luers FW. Probably a couple years down the road though.

Guys need to forget about this game and WVU. Team was mentally deflated today. Getting blown out after starting the season so well is really, really tough for these guys' mentalities. Not sure what it will take to snap them out of this funk but they need it.

Losing 55-10 to the best team in the Big East is one thing.
45-10 to a team with almost identical athletes is another.
I'm beginning to question whether the talent level is really there.
Re: BG at WMU Game Thread
Not to be that guy but we played 4 really bad teams to start the year... I was really hoping that wasn't the case, but when you give up 300+ yards rushing back to back weeks to teams that were previously near the bottom in rushing before we played them you're a bad team.

Hurley needs to get some snaps against UT, I like his running ability.

Re: BG at WMU Game Thread
I like Matt Schilz a lot. I've seen him make some throws that Tyler, Omar, or Josh may not have been able to make. That being said, the mobility, escapability, and scrambling that Hurley brings is very, very noticeable right now. I gotta wonder if Clawson would consider opening up the competition again this week for the homecoming game ... just a thought.

Western Michigan started 3-6 last year before winning the last three games of the season. It is painful to watch a team grow up sometimes, but....

Things needs to change across the board. Toledo is good enough to make it a homecoming we'll all want to forget.

Good for Hurley and the 2nd team for that score.
