Just saw this story on CFN from Friday:
http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2005 ... tStars.htm
They have Omar listed as the #10 returning "supterstar" player with this comment:
10. Omar Jacobs, QB Bowling Green
He was one of the nation's most productive passers as a sophomore and should explode as a junior with Charles Sharon to throw to.
Other players of interest:
19. Bruce Gradkowski, QB Toledo
Another year, another ridiculously high completion percentage and run for the MAC title.
21. Garrett Wolfe, RB Northern Illinois
It's now proven that the NIU running back will gain a bazillion yards. Wolfe is a deadly home-run hitter.
Incomplete. DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis
Put him in the top five of this list if his broken leg is 100% healthy by the time the season stars.
Also though this was an interesting comment about Chris Leak given the comparisons:
9. Chris Leak, QB Florida
While not the runner Bowling Green's Josh Harris and Utah's Alex Smith were, Leak should be the next superstar under head coach Urban Meyer.
More props for Omar from CFN

Glad to see Jacobs getting the props. Looking over that list, one name that stood out as having no business in there was Brad Smith, QB, Mizzou at #8. Missouri was one of the biggest disappointments last season, and a lot of that has to fall on the QB. Seems like Smith has had much hype for a couple years and has never come close to living up to it.

I always wondered why she did that little jig on SNL after getting caught lip-synching.

Yes, what happened with Gary Stinkel at Mizzou? He was supposed to turn them into BCS Giants. I guess getting his ass kicked by BG twice has hampered his plans a bit?Warthog wrote:Glad to see Jacobs getting the props.
