I actually like that Beckman was covering up the BG logo in the press room, I don't mind that at all. I think it adds to the rivalry. I'm glad our logo makes his blood boil, I'm the same way with Toledo crap. Other than the zoo, Tony Packo's, Mud Hens and museum of art the whole place can slide in to Lake Erie for all I care. Toledo is just lucky Akron beats it out as armpit of Ohio, but watch closely T-Towners, Akron is quickly turning itself around (talking municipalities here, not solely the schools).

I wasn't at the game so I can't speak to any postgame stuff on how it went down other than the still photos that have been posted. The lounging in the end zone and chewing on stuffed animals would seem to make more sense to me if the game was played as the final game as in years past- seniors on the field taking one last picture in pads etc. Seems odd to celebrate such a crowning moment relatively early in a season where undoubtedly your goal is larger than this one game. Now, don't get me wrong celebrate all you want and be excited but the amount of pictures, mean mugging, and posing seemed slightly excessive.

I rooted for OSU to beat Toledo....I rooted for Syracuse and Bosie State as well. I had a good hearty laugh when the Rockettes went 0-3 and saw their ridiculous delusions of grandeur once again destroyed. I live by two rules...don't negotiate with terrorists and don't root for Toledo...

All year Beckman has been stressing to the team how important it is to beat Bowling Green. The team was trained to look at this like a huge game and they celebrated it like they won a huge game. And whats a rivalry without pissing the other team off?

I don't think you pissed our team off at all. Our fans, maybe. Truthfully, all that was accomplished was cementing the fact that no one likes Toledo, by making childish asses of yourselves like you always do.

Doesn't matter if you win or lose, you do it every time. :)

And also as per usual. We saw ZERO of you zero's here before the game espousing your certitudes as you so eloquently have in victory. Typical.

Isn't this the kind of PRE-GAME talk we should have been having?
It's 7:26 on Monday night...and TOLEDO STILLS SUCKS!! :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Yes...and the fact that you came over here and bothered to quote and respond to me is proof of your indifference? Do you understand how dumb this makes you look?

I am responsible for keeping the rivalry alive from the Rockets side of the house, especially with H2O out of pocket this year. Good luck the rest of the season and we'll see you in the Glass Bowl for the 2012 version of the Battle of I-75. Basketball is right around the corner...

Honestly... I would rather see you at Ford Field... which isn't completely out of the question... if we win out and take the East Division...

Amazing and sad that that has never happened. In fact I don't think there has ever been a real rivalry game for the MACC. Most rivalries seem to be within the same division so that makes some sense and of course Toledo isn't REALLY Bg's rival, its uhhh, Miami, yeah Miami or OU maybe... ;-)

But how cool would it be for the two schools to play each other in Detroit for something meaningful? Let's hope it happens, vw!

No takers......damn!

I just heard back for both UT and BGSU. Doug Collins, Director of Facilities and Construction at UT says there are 1618 shade and ornamental trees on the UT main campus and 556 evergreen trees for a total of 2,174 trees on the UT main campus. This does not include the natural growth along Swan Creek.

Dan Lemmerbrock, of the Data Hub and Resource Center, Office of Design and Construction at BGSU states that according to the Tree GIS data, there are a total of 3,168 trees on the BGSU main campus, NOT including the golf course, which is a part of main campus.

For those with a UT education, this means that BGSU has 994 MORE trees than the University of Turdledo on their main campus. They better call Johnny Appleseed! :finga:

Apparently the forested areas behind Parks and along the creek don't either, nor do trees on golf courses- this post should be required reading for "lying with statistics" courses. ;-)
