Redskinhawks' Weekend Stats

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

After I was done laughing my AZZ off over the fact that Miami got beat on Saturday night, I checked out their weekend stats:

Miami's stats from their Friday night's 4-3 win over Colgate:
SOG: Miami 15 Colgate 23
Penalties: Miami 11/22, Colgate 6/12
PP: Miami 2/4, Colgate 2/9

Miami's stats from their 3-2 OT loss to Colgate Saturday night:
SOG: Miami 22, Colgate 40
Penalties: Miami 9/18, Colgate 6/12
PP: Miami 0/5, Colgate 2/9
Colgate's OT winning goal came on the PP.

So...what does this tell us about Miami's team this year? On ice discipline seems to be an issue, similar to what we have seen recently. It will be interesting to see which team settles down first. My bet is on Bergeron's current team. Personally, I think his former team is starting to see the effects of a team without Bergeron's influence. And that brings a big smile to my face!! :-D

SWEEP THE LAKERS!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Its early. Miami will be fine. They are very beatable right now, but will get stronger as the season progresses. Their post season experince is worth gold for them. I anticipate seeing Miami, ND, MI, and a yet tbd at the Joe.

Yes, it's a long time till March....but for right now, we must not miss the opportunity to snicker at Miami's performance.

May all the preppy scum suffer the pains of perpetual jock itch. :finga:

Miami in last place! Love it.

LSSU has played a lot of conference games already - they lead with 12 points. Hopefully we can have 9 after the weekend is over!

It's been a long time since LSSU has had a good year. They are due. Definitely gives us hope for similar success.

And they LOST in OT on a PPG to the Lakers last night!! They took a charging penalty at 19:47 in the 3rd. Total lack of discipline!! HAHAHAHAHA!! Their discipline enforcer now lives in BG!! Expected them to start to stumble without Bergeron, but didn't expect it this soon and this enjoyable!! :-D

GO BERGERON'S FALCONS!!!
FOREVER BABY, FOREVER!!!

I can say for certain its a pretty dark time in Redhawk country, their football team was coming off a MAC Championship and was supposed to contend again this year and instead they are 2-5, and the hockey team was supposed to be strong and contending for the CCHA title, and instead they have stumbled out of the gates.

I'm thinking I should mosey on over to MHT more often...some of their posters are probably on suicide watch.

And the redskinhawks get swept AGAIN! Lost 5-3 tonight. Wow....I seriously expected a split from them this weekend after last night's loss. They were playing the Lakers AT HOME. Lakers are in first place with 15 points. Redskinhawks have ZERO points. Whodahthunkit?

surely looks like Miami will fall from the polls after this weekend.
speaking of polls, if this were 2013 this would be what it looked like.

Pat Tielsing (formerly on the Falcon team, but bolted when the program was in danger) is suspended for his next game:
