I am hoping we sweep them scoring more than five goals each game, but in reality I expect Hammy to keep us in both games and with our youthful speed and size I see us taking at least one victory, hopefully we get the sweep. I have no doubt that we can sweep LSSU, I agree with Coach B on his last media day, BG has a solid team right now. Lets control the penalties and prove to the hockey world that BGSU is taking steps forward.
Stats-wise we're pretty evenly matched. The whole hockey world seems to be giving them enormous kudos for taking out MSU w/o looking at the fact that MSU was only picked to finish 8th in the league. I still don't understand that one.
It will be a good series. If Hammy gets the D support he needs, we could easily sweep them. Unfortunately I will be hard pressed to be able to listen to either one of them due to other commitments.
This is a really interesting series for BG. It's the opening of CCHA play, and it'll show pretty quickly where we stand against similar opposition in conference.
The opening of the season was positive in that we're 3-0-1, but it came against shoddy opposition. A couple of wins this weekend would definitely get the ball rolling in the right direction. I'll be especially interested to see if Hammond can continue his strong play...if he does that is a definite positive and might become part of this team's collective identity as we go through the year.

In fairness we would probably be jacked after sweepeing MSU as well. We both swept Huntsville but our sweep of them was a little more impressive giving up only one goal all weekend. Go Falcons!
