I don't have a problem with Clawson. Way too many mistakes by our players. How many times can you drop a pass, miss a field goal, and kick a kickoff out of bounds?

I should not have to convince you; you should be able to decipher that yourself by watching the team play all year. If not I question your football acumenYep. That pretty much convinces me Shilz and Clawson are not the answer.

After that failed 4th and 10, I shut the game off. How did Kent score another touchdown?

Maybe it's just me but I think we have a pretty damn good QB. He definitely has lapses in judgement like he's still a sophomore someti....OH WAIT HE IS. We have a guy who has thrown for 2300 yards (over 400 in a game twice now) and 20 TDs through 9 games and you guys want to can him? This loss sucks but there is no denying this is a much improved team from last year, thanks to the coaching staff and the players....not to the people who bitch and moan on the boards all day about a young QB making some mistakes.

Why is the coach continuing to play a QB who does nothing but turn the ball over and give the opponent points?
I don't blame the QB here, I blame the coach.
There's got to be someone else who can at least hang onto the ball, or drive to get extra yards without fumbling.
Ridiculous.

I completely agree with you. Also, he's shown time and again that he's our best QB. People keep thinking we should have gone from 2-10 to 10-2 this year. I don't understand that mentality. I, however, still cite all of the inexcusable mistakes on special teams as a big reason we lost.drumstix2388 wrote:Maybe it's just me but I think we have a pretty damn good QB. Nice to see Clawson carrying on the tradition of playing to your opponent.

Well I guess it is perspective i think that Hurley is probably a better option off the bench; more ability to run and make a play when it break down and is scared to take a hit ... I am pretty sure he will be the start by the end of the year.... I am not bitching either... I dont care about stats (4,000 yards blah blah blah) I care about winning. The QB and coach are not winning... YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!

I dont know how you know he is our best option at QB we have nothing to compare it to yet...
Re: Looks like no TV this week?
Matt can show flashes of greatness, but the part that upsets me the most about him is that he has shown time and time again that when a play breaks down and he has the chance to run or throw he will try and make a next to impossible throw or throw it away rather than try and make a cut up field and maybe put his shoulder down and gain the 4-5 yds that could result in a first down or even td. There was a situation like this in the Wyoming game and again here today. Clear running lane and he refuses to exploit it. Is he still feeling the hit in the Marshall game from last year or what?

Matt has talent but he makes too many mistakes in key times of the game. You can't throw two picks inside the opponent's 20 yard line. His game lacks consistent judgment and good decision making.

When you throw the ball 50 times I don't think 2 ints is that bad. Tv problem is only 45 yards rushing
Re: Looks like no TV this week?
400 passing yards and 15 points is the problem. The problem is the same this team has had for 3 years under Clawson, red zone offense.sportydude1818 wrote:When you throw the ball 50 times I don't think 2 ints is that bad. Tv problem is only 45 yards rushing

Yea red zone offense is running the ball. When your inside the 15 yard line you Ned tO run the ball.
