Thanks, Emily...

And just so you know, I am currently dating a tuba player. So. Three for three on boyfriends with that one... does that say anything about me?

But seriously, raise your hand if you really think that more maggots is a good idea... Any takers? (besides transfer, of course) Honestly, kids.

This is just kind of a suggestion, could you guys march on to the field for halftime instead of running? No offense, it looks kinda silly.

We actually prefer to march onto the field, but I believe the reason we often end up running onto the field is because we have to do that to stay within the time we are given for halftime. If we have shorter shows, then we usually march on, but we can't do that when our shows are longer.

Most of us agree - and we do when we can - but we usually jam-pack so much into the alloted time that we have in order to give the best show we can that we don't have even a few spare seconds to march it on. Running it is faster. But I do agree - I much prefer to march it.

If we kicked up the tempo of the shows I'm sure we could fit it all in. :D But I agree that it would be nice to march on rather than "braveheart" each entry. But what is one to do? Pay off the officials? Sounds like a plan...
I love band! Be good to your horn, it's been good to you hasn't it? ^_^

Or march during the home games where you guys are the only halftime show?

But that still means have have to cut 20-30 seconds out of time that could be heart-stopping performance because regardless of how many things are going on at half time we always have a time limit... It's the directors call anyway.

I have to disagree with Allen Jackson and say that too much of a good thing is NOT a good thing. Now Euphoniums on the other hand...

I miss doing a kneel-bow after every show too... we did it for, what, homecoming this year? The nugeyes looooooved it! And, well, so did I. It's so dramatic and triumphant in a way. *grin*

I miss that and the Chair Step off the field. To me that's part of the signature of the FMB. Without thoses we might as well be "The Best Damn Band in the Land" ::puke:: :vom:

Thats allright then. GGirl is a Clarinet player, so no problem there. I seem to have had a bit of luck with a Flicc, and I know others have had the same. I really can't think of any Maggot-tpt "relations" of late though. Hmm.....
