Yup...it's how we roll at BGSU...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: First BG Game
Hard to tell for certain but it doesn't look like there could be more than 3000 people there.

I heard there's like 15,000 people in line at the concessions or in the bathroom

I'd guess there were probably 4000-4500 people there. I'm sure it looked far worse on TV because the East Stands were essentially empty. Couldn't have been more than 700 people on that side.
It was an awful turnout, but no worse than what I expected...didn't think we'd get to 5000, and I doubt we did.

Re: First BG Game
Worst attended game I've been to in 3 years as a season ticket holder. I thought the kids would at least come out for the first half. I would second the estimate of 4,000 butts in the stands.
Oh well, that's Tuesday night football. Wife and I left at halftime and we still didn't get home until 11:00. Hard to do weeknight games when, you know, you work for a living. But man, it was a beautiful night with perfect weather. Why not start these games at 7 if they have to be on weeknights?
Doesn't look like the Toledo game is any better attended.

It looked pretty sad. The actual attendance number was 13,752....1,000 more than the Temple game.
Re: First BG Game
What a joke....how are going to announce 13,000 when everyone knows there wasn't any more than 4200. Toledo had way more people in the stands than us fyi....it wasn't packed but it was at least respectable.

Re: First BG Game
That attendance total must have been the tickets sold, not butts in the seats.

Announce numbers are always ticket sales.

I think we went over this in, like, 2006 for the last home game against Miami. They have options of reporting people through the gates or ticket sales. I frankly forget all the details, but one includes comps and the other doesn't. ...or something.

Re: First BG Game
The attendance was a reflection of where the football program is right now, combine that with the fact that our home record the last 5 years has been atrocious, and you get an apathetic student and townie turn out. Perhaps the coaches and AD should take that as a wake up call.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
