Schilz has been running for his life facing a four man rush...that means he's got people in his face AND seven guys in coverage...Jesus Christ would look bad under those circumstances

How will this team come back and play in the next two games?
I think it will show alot about the character of the players and coaches for the future.

Boo Boo dropped a punt? Didn't see it, but thought earlier in the game that their gunner were getting down the field way too easily. Boo Boo didn't have a shot at a return all night.

Flip, at this point in our program you are right about weekday games. We are closer to FBCS then anything else.

Re: NIU Game thread
Exactly, mc...I think the team packed it in the last few games last year. We'll see what they show this year

Re: NIU Game thread
Agreed. If you look at four year QBs, they historically have their biggest jumps between years two and three. I think with a better internal clock of when to ditch the pocket / when is too early to ditch the pocket and better downfield vision when scrambling around and Schilz is going to be special. He's had some moments this year. Idaho's D didn't have a shot at stopping him at any point during that game. Wyoming never really stopped him either ... our fumbles stopped us. I do believe he's going to keep getting better and better.mc3022 wrote:Globe, maybe I'm just optimistic, but I don't think we've seen Schilz's ceiling. Although I didn't watch him last year, He has plays that shows he CAN be accurate and pick a defense apart.Globetrotter wrote:Schilz has got to be done at QB. Granted these plays are few and far between, but I think there is a possibility he could be a solid MAC QB. Keep in mind he is just a RSO

Just saw on the gamecast (dont have cable out here in the middle of no where), NIU's men basketball team just lost their exhibition basketball game tonight against Indiana Wesleyan.

Re: NIU Game thread
The biggest problem I have as this season has gone on is the same one that I had during the Brandon years - we always seem to play our best in one of the first 2 games of the year and either get worse as the season goes on or our opponents get better while we don't. Glad that I'm not driving back to Columbus right now after that one.

Though, in fairness, he'd be playing in sandals.Flipper wrote:Schilz has been running for his life facing a four man rush...that means he's got people in his face AND seven guys in coverage...Jesus Christ would look bad under those circumstances

Schilz stats:
'10: 10 Gms 2223 yds 60.7% completion 8 TD 14 INT
'11: 10 Gms 2556 yds 59.9% completion 21 TD 10 INT
Don't know if Hurley's better, but indications are that Schilz is improving.

That's okay, Butler lost to Northern State the other night.LowryFalcon wrote:Just saw on the gamecast (dont have cable out here in the middle of no where), NIU's men basketball team just lost their exhibition basketball game tonight against Indiana Wesleyan.
