Why in the Hell??

Post by sportydude1818 »

Would the MAC schedule 2 games on Tuesday night ? These weeknight games are supposed to be a national showcase for the schools participating. YOu are splitting the national audience , I think its unfair. It already sucks playing on a tuesday at least give them the only show in town...

You should ask ESPN. Remember, we essentially gave them carte blanche on our scheduling a few years back.

They put the UT game on to help spare us more embarrassment. Heck, sadly, I watched more of the UT/WMU game in the second half than I did BG. Did I like seeing Toledo win, hell no, but did I enjoy the game, hell yes.

I stayed for the ENTIRE BG game and still saw the last 10 min of the WMU-UT game when I got home.

You're either a much better fan than I am or certifiably insane to stay for the end of that train wreck.

So you were one of the Dozens of fans who were at the game. It looked pathetic on Tv , looked like a JV game with so many empty seats

If we were 9-0 going into the game, sadly, the crowd probably wouldn't have looked much different. I also stayed until the end. It was a great night, where else did I need to be. I just enjoy going, I've gotten past getting upset about this stuff since earlier when I went off after the UT game.

I really don't understand how or why people who were not at the game or at least have season tickets, can come on the board and complain about the attendance.
At least I complain about things I have experienced. ;)

+24,000 (a sellout). Get your butt to the game and we don't have an attendance problem. For out of town fans, I understand, but there are plenty of locals here on this board who just refuse to go because "they don't like weeknight games". You're just part of the problem when you don't show up.

It took me 20 minutes to find somebody to take my 3 extra tickets...for FREE last night. I ended up giving them to some NIU fans.

In retrospect I wish I had given them 4 tickets...

It's the same deal next Wed. While we're playing Ohio, Miami plays WMU.

Regardless of the outcome I would have liked to be there last night, especially considering I live 30 minutes away.
The important thing to me is about supporting not just OUR team, but OUR university as a whole. If I didn't have rehearsals to run at church throughout the week, I would be there for nearly every game - football and basketball.
